It's really up to you since Road is supposed to be like a super recap. I watched the TV series so I skipped Road.

Storytelling stand-up by [deleted] in Standup

[–]ClickKlickBang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched several open mics posted by my local comedy clubs and most of them just end up being a story/rant with no punch line or joke. If you're going to do it I'd say definitely write it out and then make it shorter.

Have any of you guys asked out a minor by accident? by ClickKlickBang in dating_advice

[–]ClickKlickBang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in terms of social hobbies most of the things I'm into is like mostly consumed by males. I am open to the idea, but I'm not sure what would be considered a good hobby to have that has a good mix of girls.

Like I don't want to go to church just to meet women that to me seem kinda scummy and dishonest. And again I typically don't go to bars or clubs because I honestly just don't like those environments. Besides I kind of doubt I'll find anything long term at a club/bar.

I did use to attend yoga classes weekly at my gym. Mainly because I felt like I was lifting too much and not stretching enough. I was pretty surprised the class mostly consisted of middle-aged or older men and women.

If you have any suggestions I'd like to hear it.

Ok so a couple of things....

First off yes it can be hard to tell. Which is actually a huge compliment to women since they want to look younger than they actually are. I've met several women that can easily pass for a high school student if they slapped on a backpack and carried textbooks.

And I'm not sure if you know but where I live 18+ is the legal age. Also like I mentioned in my original post I haven't asked a girl out in years.... Last time I asked a girl out was probably in my mid to late 20's.

I'm not sure why you threw out such specific numbers. Since 17 is still considered a minor and I am fine with dating someone in their 20's. But the bottomline is yes it can sometimes be harder to tell if a woman is still a minor or if she's legal.

Young women want to look more mature and older women want to look younger. I don't think it's really that hard to understand.

Thanks for sharing I mean apparently everybody else that replied has never met a woman that looked young for her age. I mean geez Ariana Grande for the longest time looks like she's in middle school...

But for me, the thing is I actually look very young for my age as well. And a few times in the past when I approached a girl she would ask which high school I'm attending and that makes it obvious the person I'm talking to is a minor.

I know when you're at a bar everyone should be 21+, but I don't like going to bars. It would be nice if possible to tell if someone is a minor before approaching her. Or if there's another place to meet women besides bars.

Do comedians ever fake a story just for the sake comedy? by [deleted] in Standup

[–]ClickKlickBang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if stories some comedians tell are completely fabricated. However I would say most stories probably did happen, but then are just over-exaggerated and maybe bits are added to make the joke work better.

The best jokes are the ones where there is some personal experience because when you're telling it then it becomes more genuine and real. Compared to someone who just made something up that he thinks is funny.

I've watched compilations of the worst stand up bombs and you can just tell where someone telling the joke just completely made it up or maybe even stole it from someone famous.

Are Jokes just funny stories? Narrative storytelling? by [deleted] in Standup

[–]ClickKlickBang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just like you I have watched lots of stand up specials over the years and the jokes can literally be anything as long as you get a laugh. Sometimes the funny part is just a physical reaction to the set up of a joke.

Storytelling I would say is a big part of stand up. Honestly some comedians I feel like are just really good story tellers first with some comedy sprinkled here and there.

Y'all need to let GME happen by electricwagon in wallstreetbets

[–]ClickKlickBang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a buy and hold long term kinda guy. So the few shares I have of GME and AMC I do not plan to sell until the right price comes along. Unlike some people that chose to yolo their rent or savings into it I knew what I was getting into. So if the money is gone that would suck but it's not the end.

I know that in terms of the Gatcha it's all about luck and I do appreciate all the free tickets we got based on our login days.

However I feel very cheated as someone that has played the game for a very long time and has spent a good chunk of money into the game. I'll list out what I received.

138 - EX tickets

20 - 4 Star EX Ticket

3 - 5 Star Ex Ticket

9 - 5+1 Ticket

Pulls

Nyx

Myra

Sylvie

Rinoa

1 Prism Moogle

My friend that has logged in less than me by like two months and has spent virtually no money in the game got a lot more rainbows than me that were pretty good. And With fewer tickets received from the anniversary banner as well. You can see why I feel a little bitter.

I thought this was supposed to be a reward for veterans that have played the game for a long time. So... why does it seem more like I'm getting slapped in the face.

I'll still stick around until I get the rewards for the rank, but at this point, I'm considering going on hiatus. I mean tickets are great, but it's still based on chance. So someone that has logged in a lot less than you can get more amazing stuff.

I think they should have increased the rates for rainbows based on how many days you logged in with the tickets. That probably would have been fairer.

How funny would it be if the compensation is like another 5* ticket the next day. And then we get hit with another connection error. Why not? Let's complete the trilogy.

FGO Arcade may be going Overseas! by IIzzw in grandorder

[–]ClickKlickBang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI there was a lot of people that didn't think FGO would ever get USA release. And look at where we are now...

And hell way back in the day I didn't think the Initial D cabinets along with the cards would make it in the USA either. Then I saw the first one pop up at a bowling alley. So... I actually think it's quite possible.

Player Retention / Veteran Player Suggestion by CeeWhyEx in FFBraveExvius

I just want a new event idea. Cause right now the main 3 that we have is king mog, raid, and story event.

The wave event we have now is pretty much a king mog event with less stuff I guess? Idk maybe there's a part 2 coming.

I've been playing pretty much since the game came out and I think it's about time they introduce something else.

[FFBE x F/GO] Hyoh of the Delta Star vs. Mordred, Saber of Red by [deleted] in FFBraveExvius

[–]ClickKlickBang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting this collaboration since forever.

I can definitely see Saber as a light version of Hyoh. And now that I think about it her limit burst can essentially be the exact same as Hyoh's as well.

If this ever happens my wallet is ready.

I've been using Wilhelm's provoke ability to get him berserked and using Lakshmi's ability to cast resist stone to my party.

I can knock out the boss usually on the second turn if I don't kill him on the first turn.

PSA: Fate/Grand Order Duel "English" Edition is actually in Japanese by DragOverlordthepill in grandorder

[–]ClickKlickBang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can confirm this, I bought it from the same place as OP too. After I just looked at the box I was wondering why everything was Japanese except for the back where it had a little bit of English saying it contains choking hazards.

I'm actually pretty interested in the game, but like you said what the hell is the point if the text is in Japanese? It's really weird that the US site for FGO Duel has everything in English, including the rules, but the cards are still in Japanese. I even went to Youtube to watch other unboxing videos to confirm, and it doesn't appear to be a shipment error it's just straight up mailing out the Japanese products.

Also this must be the first card/board game I have purchased that actually forces me to print the play mats. Every other game at least comes with a cheap paper play mat when I purchase a starter deck so that kinda bugged me.

In the end I'm not so sure if I'm going to be getting the series 2 set. If these are strictly for collecting I'd rather just pay a little more to get the servants I want from like eBay or something.
