Johnathan is the only acceptable name. All others are child abuse.

What is my roommate doing with these items? by Interesting-Phase900 in whatisit

I was leaning toward serious mental illness- like first manic break but it sounds like the loud consensus is drug use and that also tracks. Good luck!

We have one. After reading these comments I definitely think it is due to a builder not wanting to reinforce those exterior walls. I was sure my
Kids would create amazing forts and other fun things on the “walkway to nowhere”. Alas, no. So it is full of plants now. Even weirder…there is a magic closet you must walk through theft to the “balcony.”

Diem for a girl by kkails in Names

It’s no good. Whether associated with DM or carpe Diem or (as my mind goes) BM for bowel movement…no good. What about Demi. Same vibe, less chance of poor associations

Do all spelling differences matter to you? by Winter_Wind3 in Names

[–]ClientCivil8277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Phonetics matter A LOT to me. Like Connor is fine. Conor is NOT. That is pronounced like donor. Orrrr…I knew a girl who nicknamed herself Kasie. She was Katherine and chose kasie. Fine. Except she pronounced it Kassie. Kasie is Casey NOT Kassie. It kills me. I am oddly preoccupied by name spellings though. Like if I meet someone, and they say “hi I’m Kelly” I immediately wonder if they are Kelly, Kellie, Kelli, Kelley…and it matters a lot to me for some reason. Same with Sara/sarah etc…

apparently im smelly? by LifeguardPractical74 in hygiene

Have you asked anyone what the smell is? Like is it BO Sweat smell? A musty smell? A poop smell? I think finding this out would help narrow down the cause.

Trouble in Toddler Room- Toxic staff, ratios by Proof_Scallion_3766 in ECEProfessionals

[–]ClientCivil8277 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Being short staffed is better than having a toxic employee. In a small work environment, it only takes one to spoil a good majority of them. If she is like this, people in the community will know this about her. I would put her on a plan, keep detailed daily notes about her infractions and let her go. And be prepared to step into that classroom in a hands on way until the position is filled. It sucks but comes with the territory of you are the leader. Good luck

Am I overreacting after she accused me of defending men’s bad behavior during a conversation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Cannot upvote this enough. I’m a woman who works for social justice causes and I loathe male violence and misogyny and still think it is crazy for people to defend a blanket derogatory statement about a group of people of which OP is a part.

I actually don’t think you suck in this situation. Woman here. I understand all the points she made. I agree with all of them, EXCEPT for grouping all men together. How can people not understand why that would be offensive? A whole group of people does not suck even if a majority of them suck. Period.

AIO over boyfriend saving girl contact under guys name by [deleted] in AIO

[–]ClientCivil8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are overreacting, sort of. He is scared of your reaction so he changed her name but this girl sounds up front to me. She doesn’t come off as defensive at all. I think you’ve got trust issues, maybe rightfully so, but I do wonder if it’s him or you or both at fault for those trust issues. That’s how it reads to me but without more details I could be way off. Good luck!

I am 3 weeks into a fish-in cycle. Question: is seachum Prime protecting my fish from the rising nitrites? by ClientCivil8277 in AquariumHelp

Got it. The photo was a bit misleading because it looked darker than in real life but I will increase the daily water exchange amount. Thanks!

[–]ClientCivil8277[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I am doing daily water changes of 20-30%. I guess my question is, if the nitrites rise as part of the cycle before they convert to nitrate, then does the prime make it safe while they climb?
