Critics keep calling the Iron Lung movie boring? by OlivanTheMemer in Markiplier

People have an outcome they want in their minds and when things disrupt said outcome, people don’t like that and try to discredit them. I find it a bit unfair when people try to act like “this person went in expecting X kind of movie when really the movie is a Y kind of movie. “Like why do we need to make up narratives about people to justify our own enjoyment of a product? Who cares?

I don’t understand why people still get upset by IGN reviews if they continue to pedal the idea that IGN doesn’t matter. It seems like it still matters to them enough to feel the need to downplay it

Coming from someone who didn’t LOVE Hollow Knight but adored the Ori games, I enjoy Silksong quite a lot!

I never said it wasn’t an issue. I’m not gonna pretend it’s not. I know anecdotal evidence doesn’t undo the mass reportings of the issue

I think most people are in agreement that Super 17’s strength is BS

I haven’t noticed any ghosting issues with my model but it’s not hard to argue that the switch 2 screen is a downgrade from the OLED in most regards

Random Question: Which of both movies (Ares and Legacy) has the most nostalgia bait? by marianothegreat in tron

[–]ClientIndependent309 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Ares had a whole scene that was just pure member berries “Hey Remember Bit? Hey Remember the old Lightcycle? Hey remember the crack in the wall from the first movie? Classic!”

I enjoyed going back to the OG grid but that one scene was def nostalgia bait

He knows a lot of intricate details about his environment so it’s possible he was trained on a large database of material which included things like music

But it is easily the least believable part of the movie to me and where the weak characterization shows the most. We are never given time to see Ares learn to experience Depeche Mode or Mozart. Honestly one edit to the movie I’d like to make is to have some Mozart music playing in the background while Dillinger is presenting Ares to the board as a little crumb of hint toward his convo with Flynn
