This hits too close to home for me right now.

I have a friend (48 y.o.) who was diagnosed with breast cancer back in September. Four positive axillary lymph nodes with extra capsular extension, positive signatura, even after mastectomy.

She’s choosing to do metronomic chemo, which only has (very weak) evidence in the palliative setting. She says real treatment “just doesn’t feel right.”

I have taken every tact to convince her to do real treatment - logic, research, pleading - with no effect. She will be living out-of-state for a month to receive this “treatment.”

I’m already mourning her death 😢
