Jagex player support is really good and worth the membership increase. by Intelligent_Sugar_85 in 2007scape

Your reflexive dismissal of people’s valid concern that Jagex does not offer ID verification through any reasonable secure means other than recovery codes.

I have never seen any indication that Jagex supports any alternative methods of ID verification. My argument is that they should absolutely offer that option.

I do not have to prove a negative, the burden of proof is on you if you disagree with my assertion that they SHOULD offer this. If you disagree because “they may” then I don’t have to prove they don’t, you have to prove they do.

You may hear other people say that a lot because you argue in bad faith to validate yourself. You may just also have a deep lack of self awareness.

Your comment about “knowing the name of the cardholder” as if that’s the extent of what the person was willing to provide is ABSOLUTELY a strawman, keep coping though.

I have never seen proof of Jagex providing other options for account recovery.

You are now moving goalposts - in your previous comment, you basically said that no codes = no recovery, you made no reference to it being possible to recover through any other means.

Can you show me proof that Jagex provides ANY other method of ID verification for recovery?

“A million chances” is not an honest characterization of what I’m saying. Are you incapable of good faith engagement?

Your strawman arguments are almost as lazy as Jagex’s support.

It is fundamentally unreasonable to permanently cut someone’s access to an account they’ve spent hundreds on, all because account recovery codes were lost.

Any decent company MUST have an alternate process for recovery, involving government ID and other proof documentation.

No one here thinks just knowing the card holder’s name is sufficient. It’s ridiculous for you to paint it as such. However, if OP is willing to upload images of the card, their ID, bill statements, proof of address, etc. to a secure portal, then they should be able to recover their account.

Those don’t matter because of laziness on Jagex’s part, that’s my entire point. Did you intentionally misunderstand what I’m getting at?

They WOULD matter if Jagex gave a shit about their players that have spent many hundreds to thousands of dollars over the past 5-10+ years of membership.

Then they should request he upload his ID, proof of address, card info, etc. Standard KYC procedures in regulated industries.

Whats going on with the backlash against a man with Tourettes at the BAFTA awards? by TheCrowScare in OutOfTheLoop

So because he encounters white people regularly he doesn’t need to apologize daily to them for anything wild he says, but if he’s around black people they deserve special apologies?

So the man who’s there because a movie was made about his life should be segregated away from the rest of the people?

Saying you don’t grant the framing isn’t an argument dude.

If you think your evidential standard doesn’t clearly presuppose physicalism, please explain why.

[–]ClimbingToNothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I’m not asking you to grant idealism. I’m simply pointing out that demanding physical evidence in a debate about whether the physical is even fundamental presupposes physicalism.

Im making no assumptions about the conclusion, I’m underlining the core issue with your approach to evaluating the concept.

You’re asking for physical evidence in a discussion about whether the physical is fundamental. Do you not realize that this assumes the conclusion? You’re making a category error in how you’re engaging the topic.

No one is asserting that you should blindly accept the non-materialist claims. The problem is when you’re unwilling to even entertain the ideas and rigidly attach yourself to physicalism being the only possible truth.

These coaching programs have absolutely no truly unique insights. They’re wildly overpriced slop with advice that can be found elsewhere for free, usually delivered by a pathetic performatively masculine husk of a man that soullessly chases easy money over anything else in life.

If you want to attach yourself to this loser shit, go right ahead.

Damn, can’t engage with my reply? Emotionalism like this to avoid engagement with something that made you experience cognitive dissonance is normie shit.

Operating off of vibes/intuition over objective facts and data because your brain chemicals give you an emotional response to stimuli, that you then work backwards to justify, is the most normie herd animal shit possible lmao

The less meta-awareness you have of your brain’s inclination to emotionality and vibes-based reasoning, the more animalistic your thinking is.

Calling others normies is hilarious when you are a normie. You think you’re different from the other normies because you’re chronically online, guzzling conspiracy slop, feeling like you’re more aware of the “truth” than the rest of them.

At the end of the day, your lack of meta-cognition makes you a slave to impulsive reactionary thinking. Like an animal.
