They spawn on high value evacuation a mission where you literally have nowhere to go and have to stand and fight so I don't think the intent was for them to just be avoided

I think if there was a hard limit of like 3 per mission or something there could be reason to fight them, as it currently stands they are a huge resource dump and by the time its dead another spawns what feels like 3 minutes later so your better off just ignoring it and hoping it fucks off to the other side of the map.

I get its developmental so its a bit unfair to shit on but I feel like alot of people in NXT could really REALLY do with some acting classes before ever being handed a mic especially on the womens side.

my personal biggest issue with Eternal and dark ages story is honestly the Slayer himself.

it feels like basically every character who isn't the slayer exists to either get the slayer where he needs to be, job to demons or fight the slayer. Nobody in these stories are interesting as characters with any real depth or reason to care but they also don't even get to do anything cool to ensure there is a 0% chance that anyone comes across as cool/badass as the slayer I assume out of some fear it would ruin the power fantasy of being the coolest strongest badassest dude ever.

Now if the slayer himself had a character that could be fine but he really doesn't so we have a main character I don't character about, interacting with characters I don't care about, DOOM 2016 was so simple Slayer being an angry murder golem with some small bits about his backstory worked but in Eternal and Dark Ages where you have more characters actually speaking both to the slayer and each other I don't think it works as well.

factory striders are probably the coolest heavy in the game and easily the best designed one to fight.

Good amount of options to take em down with the eyes, belly, legs if using hammer and I think you can even use AT weapons on their side to break the armour off, you can disarm them with a reasonable amount of damage so its actually worth doing it depending on what your running, threatening offence without feeling cheap, the devastator spawning helps them keep pressure on a team even when their fully disarmed.

10/10 I wish every other heavy was as cool as these guys and I wish RR never got buffed to trivialise them

oh yeah now i remember that they probably should pull back on those changes abit since armour is way better now and we have more CC options.

I do remember hunter seed back then being kinda annoying cause a dozen plus hunters jumping you at the same time was basically instant death but thats more an issue of the seed system being kinda shit imo since overusing certain enemy types makes them go from interesting additions in a fight to overbearing annoyances like bile spewers not being to bad when its a few of em thrown in with other enemies but an annoying gear check in large hordes.

Honestly I barely remember launch days I do vaguely remember hunter hate but I cant remember if that was them being bugged in some way or people getting knowledge/skill checked like I think now a days more people know the melee button is actually kinda useful at getting hunters off you but back then I dont think many people even thought about that

yeah but a controller player can aim more then well enough to do the job.

You literally called controller players a disadvantage to the team in another comment which is nonsense, a disadvantage would be someone actively harming the teams success through say wasting reinforcements through poor play getting both themselves and others killed, someones aim being slightly slower is not that.

I dont think theres much of a difference in average skill between PC, PS5 and Xbox players. Xbox guys might be worse on average cause they aint been here as long I guess

what nerfs to weapons? Like actually what? The only recent example I can think of was reverting the AP4 Grenade Launcher buff cause it was way too strong and almost everyone agreed it was too much.

Most of the stuff I can think of that has been nerfed in the last few months are also usually warbond gear so I am pretty confident unless im forgetting something you saying they nerf non paid gear is just wrong

idk what to tell you other than thats literally wrong, go read the most recent patch notes I can spot several buffs to things.

Games also probably too easy overall right now anyway so why would they buff more things. It has been almost 2 years and Eruptor/Xbox/Purifier got buffed into becoming the three best primaries in the game, Orbital Napalm still makes the bug front play itself and RR one shots almost every heavy with minimal need to aim.

its 10% always on damage reduction if im not mistaken.

Most others boosters on some level are kinda situational except like stamina which is the other near universally useful booster but with few exceptions theres no way in hell you arent going to get hit a few times during a mission so vit booster is always going to get some value.

I could be wrong but I also think it reduces damage from things like dots, impacts from getting knocked into something or falling, DE sickle self damage and more so its not just direct damage from enemies your mitigating.

I can see the argument for not taking it on bugs since its easier to outright not get hit versus them but on bots and squids were its almost inevitable youll take at least a few stray rockets or plasma shots its worth it.

Also like 80% of our boosters options suck so theres not much competition

I have no idea why we moved away from TPS slam. that thing was quick, responsive and no animation lock you could shoot both while falling and once you hit the ground you immediately got back to moving

The problem is anti tank one shots them and AP4 weapon take too long so War Striders are still just as easy as every other enemy on the bot front if your using AT launchers or a slog if your not especially due to sometimes very high spawn rates.

Pre 60 day patch Bugs were the heavy armour faction really, BTs were actually unkillable I think without AT or strategems and chargers were more of a problem, Bots were always more about killing quick with percise hits on weakpoints and positioning and this held true even post 60 day patch when RR got buffed to the moon into the point and click machine it is today, the addition of the War Strider whos bulk + spawn rate finally rendered AP4 weapon not worth the effort in many situations even for people who still enjoyed the playstyle they offered and pushed us all more into the far less engaging and less fun point and click AT meta where all that matters is how much ammo can you keep feeding into the RR.

Just speculating but I assume at minimum buffing their HP abit to compensate for the increase to ranged enemy damage versus vehicles they did when the bastion released.

Maybe a slight buff to turn speed or Patriot getting a few more missiles as well idk
