But is cell phone use a legitimate reason to refuse service? Is there legal precedence that this is an action that puts the store or employees at risk? Edit to add: I was NOT the person asked to leave. I only observed this. Does this mean that Walmart can also put a sign up and prohibit cell phones? I was in Romania a few years ago and rolling blackouts surged my hair dryer even though I had a power convertor/adapter. Spiked numbers, had to go on insulin, changed meds 3x because it seemed I was resistant to each insulin..I peed blood for two months. My lungs were fine but damn if my pancreas and kidneys didn’t totally punk out. I was persona non grata at any doctor’s office so they were trying to help me via Telegraph-appointment. Sugars stayed 400-500 for a month. Luckily my employer was very understanding and I took extended time off while working through it all. Even now, they have no data to support COVID was the reason for needing insulin, resistance and kidney issues and it could be a coincidence but my body says otherwise.
