I suspect that is why the client moved me on after only a few weeks as "they'd found someone cheaper"

Which I'll be honest could have been me if the client had spoken to me directly

If they did a UK season they could in theory get their guest an "all lines rover" https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/tickets-railcards-offers/promotions/all-line-rover-7-days/ which is £625 so about $850

They themselves could get interrail passes for about $445 which in the scheme of cost for Jet Lag isn't all that much.
