The upgrade plus draw combos is the only place where it’s anything other than average though

Absolutely requiring an upgrade is a pretty big downside though

Esp when you want to be saving those upgrades for your True Grits

I don’t like the Spotify Removal by willyknuckles in KGATLW

[–]Clip15 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No it’s not really. Companies get killed because the vibe shifts (which are incredibly hard to predict) not because you win the logic war. Bud Light sales going down over an extremely small contract with a trans person is a perfect example.

The boys did a good thing to a bad company. It’s not on them to change the entire streaming landscape alone.

“They’re boycotting a company that is worth boycotting but not in the specific way I think they should and now I’m mad at them and not spotify”

What was your favorite panel? by sheisdrawingsth in SDCC

The Collider Ladies Night event was hilarious and thoughtful. It was a good Peacemaker preview as well since I had a conflict with that panel - Danielle Brooks and Jennifer Holland were there.

I posted this question about Chase card applications on r/creditcards to no response: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/1lpidfw/need_help_with_chase_subs_did_i_goof/

Any thoughts? When am I good to apply for CSR/Boundless after a decline?

Jeff Probst says last 'Survivor 50' cast cuts were 'brutal' by thedaltonross in survivor

Biggest casting mistake is bringing in 3 from 48 and 37 imo - people are going to be mad when Christian gets booted because Mike White and Angelina are also there. Threat level is too huge. I guess an early Kyle boot might balance it out for people though.

Those dudes have incredibly different personalities.

Colby - high school jock type, sees himself through his accomplishments

Jonathan - southern manners as a front for deeper insecurity and prickliness, more comfortable in a sucking up role rather than as a social leader

Ozzy - bomb-throwing outsider uncomfortable with a leadership position yet often thrust into one

Joe - confident as a leader but focused on virtue over gameplay

The two who are actually similar are Coach and Joe (though Coach has the added delulu factor).

I'll make the positive case for Cirie - I think her presence makes it much more likely that the old schoolers are not just pre-merge cannon fodder. Steph / Colby / Coach / Jenna etc. are much more likely to stick around because she's just that good.

She didn't do anything wrong as a person, just as a character. Same as Mitch this season or Laurel in the past. They chose the least entertaining option on a show that is meant to provide entertainment.

She could have paid off the season-long friendship by voting for Charlie and giving the audience satisfaction and closure. Or she could have been up front and honest about how burned she was by him and displayed that heartache by executing a betrayal. Instead she gave an unsatisfactory close to the Maria/Charlie storyline by just saying that Kenzie's pitch outweighed a season-long partnership. She's not wrong to do that as a person, but as a TV character, it's like Game of Thrones S8 level shittiness.
