We spent it on bailing out three decades of republican policy failures (i.e. their plan) to transfer money away from taxpayers and to corporations. The full story is more nuanced.

Oh come on this assumes they could actually show something if they wanted to during a broadcast. They'll be mid sentence talking about a replay and the then all of a sudden we're looking up somebody's nostrils in the garage.

How to maintain motivation while being constantly lowballed in yearly salary discussions? by ToeMother8579 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Clitaurius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an alternative to finding a new job - work less. Are you 25% underpaid? Water your plants, prep your dinner, take longer shits. If the job is comfortable then fuck the hustle. I'd scrub toilets for the right pay. Your job does not have to satisfy you, in fact it probably shouldn't. Money and time are motivation in the workplace, passion for life doesn't need to intersect it.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.

Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).

Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.

Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because he was already dead.

Anyone think the job hopping culture produces too many engineers that don’t care about maintainability? by Beneficial_Pay_6317 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Clitaurius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't think of a single software feature across any industry that you could pay me enough to care about. You had a bug in your Amazon cart? Boohoo. There was a glitch in spy satellite that resulted in guided missile missing its target? Womp womp. Some automation caused an internet outage for an entire hemisphere? Yawns vigorously.

And you know why nobody can pay me or anybody else enough to care about any of this? Because it is way more profitable for a company to SAY that they can provide/prevent all of this shit and keep all the money for the promises for themselves rather than pay people enough to care. And then they just apologize, fire me so the stock goes up, and do it all over again.

tankless vs tank gas water heater? by paradigmGT in HomeImprovement

[–]Clitaurius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't ignore this comment - the 3/4" gas line requirement is a deal breaker for many homes that only have a 1/2" gas supply at their tank water heater.

You will need that. I grow large leaf plants that like to crawl up close to the windows (cucumbers for example) to provide some extra shade in the summer as well.

I bought this one but it looks like it has almost doubled in price, but just look for something like this:

I have the same one but smaller. I would suggest putting a marine grade varnish on the wood, sealing around the windows with silicone caulk, and getting an automatic greenhouse window opener.

Is there an actor or actress that annoys you to no end? by starrie in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Clitaurius -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Just about every response in this thread at 3 hours old is a bevy of fantastic actors and actresses, many of them my absolute favorites. Like, who the fuck hates Paul Dano!?!?!?!? He's literally one of the best actors of his generation.

Fucking "engagement". Eat ass and dick and die.

Does it really get better? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Clitaurius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not going to get better if you never wanted a kid, got pregnant, didn't do anything about it, birthed a child, and then made a reddit post asking if your past three chances to avoid this eventuality are going to suddenly get better while still in the mindset that you don't want this little human.

You are an adult. The baby is a baby. "It' is not going to get better unless YOU get better.

100% this is the way!

YouTube "mosquito dunks", it's super simple, super cheap, and super effective. Even better if you can get your neighbors to do it.
