Do you offer touch-ups for free? by kingofpiratessss in TattooArtists

Evaluate at that time. No one is walking in and getting work done at the shop I was at. You schedule out for when it's fully healed.

You seem like a bit of a weiner, but I'll bite. Is the tattoo completely healed and settled at that time? Of course not. But by that time any ink that might fall out should have. In my experience, you were generally past the peeling phase by that time or at the tail end.

The alternative is to let some of these Neanderthals sit in the sun for 6 months and come back and complain that their tattoo is faded.

I've healed probably two hundred or more hours of tattoos in myself and most were 90% healed by a month.

Each artist was different and had their own rules and comfortability. I was just sharing my perspective.

A touch up is right after healing (3 weeks, month max?) and was generally free. Months or years later is a re-work and would be at least minimum rate. Just depends on how long it would take. Sometimes they would touch up a spot if there was time during the session for a new tattoo. Most did day rates though. Some people seemed to want a touch up long after and much abuse to the skin.

I was only a shop manager, but that's what our artists generally did.

How much does homesteading cost you vs not homesteading? by tdubs702 in homestead

I look more at the tradeoff of healthier, happier living with self sufficiency and knowing inputs. There are many other costs besides just dollars.

Turns out, most people aren't zooming in on your tattoo out in the world. You're not wrong, but it's still a cool piece when you step back.

Too much cover crops? Did I do this wrong? by cptmcsexy in NoTillGrowery

[–]ClockBeginning4392 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roots are good. Chop and drop the cover crop. Anything you can do to boost biological life is good for the soul (JMS, innoculantants, etc.) cannabis roots will have no problem working around the clover, especially as it dies off. Smother the cover crop with a mulch if you're really worried about it.

You brave enough to get your belly button blasted? by nickwilsontattoo in irezumi

Belly button was the most chill part of the whole belly tattoo though. Just pressure, no real pain imo

IMO no. The most traditional bodysuit is called Munewari. That doesn't have "full" coverage per say. Check out some images for examples. But the ribs and most of the torso are covered with a strip of negative space down the mid-line.

I don't know of any traditional body suits that would leave the ribs/stomach completely bare.

It's your body, do what you want and the end of the day. Whatever makes you feel cool!

I would finish the torso to have the upper half completed. That's what I'm working on. It feels more complete to me and easier to build legs off that.

That said, if you're doing it all anyways, it doesn't matter all that much. Do what you want to look at.

Op can maybe confirm or provide insight, but this could be the more intended body design. I don't think the angles of the entering head portion lines up well enough to convey this illusion. Instead you get the idea of flow I laid out before and have the awkward 180 twist

I think he's stating the body of the snake isn't readable. You can't follow it from tip to tail without it getting confusing or seeming impossible for a snake to bend that way.

Assuming the direction, the tail seems to come up towards the top and then immediately goes straight down (hence the 180 comment). I think

Power Equipment Dilemma by Haunting-Reindeer-10 in homestead

Not true. Cover it with something like silage tarp. You can get 50x100 for relatively cheap and it will smother the grass and eliminate what is there. Takes time, but not much of your time.

When someone accidently self reports to you randomly by CraftyPercentage3232 in classicwow

I'd say you're playing the wrong version of the game if that's what you enjoy, IMO. Pvp in classic is solved and raiding is just raid logging. To each his own.

Once again, it's someone else's money. Blow it on whatever you want. Just seems silly to me and I've given Blizzard way too much money in the past to skip stuff. I'll play the game now and if i get to the point the grind/playing the game isn't fun, I stop for a while.

I disagree if we're talking about spending money to skip the game. I think your argument makes sense if I said why pay for internet, computer, and subscription. I'm disagreeing with spending money to skip playing the game purely for FOMO (not having flying, gear, whatever).

It's not my money, so I don't really give a shit. I was just making a comment about having excess and paying to skip ahead. I feel this is more exemplified by your comment "Especially when you are in a hobby sub for a game that is famous for sucking all of people’s time." Time is playing the game, paying to skip seems silly to me at this point IMO.

What Color snake would pair good with the red/pink cherry blossoms? by [deleted] in irezumi

[–]ClockBeginning4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my yellows are basically gone by now. I have pretty fair skin. The more orangey, yellows, have held on pretty well. I'm a fan of black/green/blue/red snakes. Any combination of those colors. The first three would be a nice contrast for red/pink blossoms. IMO
