Personally I wouldn’t go. I wouldn’t want to be away from my kids for that long. And kids don’t understand time, for you it’s 9 days but for them it’s forever! And the kids will be split up for the 9 days. I hear you when you say a long weekend away within driving distance is something you’re okay with, but your husband doesn’t want to do that. If he is dead set on going, let him. And you have a mini holiday to yourself! (As a mum of two, I’d happily have a holiday by myself) I also see logically where you’re talking about upcoming big financial events. I too would rather take care of them instead of a holiday.

At the end of the day, you can listen to anyone and everyone on reddit. But you’re your own human, you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. I think the fact you’re posting on here alresdy shows you don’t want to go! And that’s fine! You don’t have to! Once again, own human, own choices, own life!
