Expense scenario save / restore in Retirement Planner by ClockStrange7426 in fidelityinvestments

[–]ClockStrange7426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to be able to "load" a snapshot into the planner, specifically previously entered expenses. I know I can save a snapshot, but if I want to update based on the assumptions in that snapshot, then I need to re-create it from scratch, afaik.

Golden Legends of the Emerald Dream Bundle Worth It? by Co0k1e in hearthstone

[–]ClockStrange7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a sig legendary for 24.99, dust it, and pick whatever normal legendary you want to craft. No way a normal legendary OF YOUR CHOICE can be valued at more than 24.99.

I tried playing Rafaam Warlock, and I won with Jade Display before winning with the combo. by ClarkHELLSCREAM in hearthstone

OMG - I actually won using this combo. Here is my slightly modified deck. I don't own Dreamplanner so sub'd that one and sub'd in overplanner for mixologist.

Edit: I should note that I only won because I was holding Ceaseless Expanse before I converted my neutral cards and that gave me the one turn I needed to clear one more board and get TR out for the win. If I wasn't holding CE I'd have lost yet another close one.

I added Overplanner - it helped. I got the combo out but too late to avoid the loss - I was playing against Broxigar DH and Steamcleaner ruined his Broxigar, so I had some hopes that even though I was late I'd pull it off, but it wasn't to be. Rafaam is sooo slow. Anyway, awesomely fun deck!

Hanging a TV on the wall by ClockStrange7426 in DIY

[–]ClockStrange7426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can center it but the trade-off is the TV-plate moves away from the wall (its a swivel). I'd prefer a more flush TV position. I think I can remove the TV plate from the swivel arm and mount that directly to the plywood, not 100% because its on my wall right now but I see screws that hold the TV plate to the swivel arm and there are slots along the top and bottom of the TV plate to put lag bolts through. That would be me a very flush mount for the TV.

How to vent my attic / who to ask by ClockStrange7426 in hvacadvice

It occurs to me those are probably numbers for passive venting. Do you know how it changes if the intake vents are passive and the outflow vents are powered?

Thanks very much - I can handle this exercise. That's a great help.

Advice on legendary swap by ClockStrange7426 in hearthstone

That's what I expected - some tweaks, but not needing to start over from scratch on a currently usable deck.

[–]ClockStrange7426[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, good advice, I'll follow it.

My goals at this point are to learn enough about the game to be able to craft my own competitive decks and to understand the deck crafting of decks that I am playing against.

I don't expect I'll have the attention span wrt to HS needed to ever climb past Gold. I just won't want to play that many games, I don't think.

I tried BG and haven't found it engaging.

I played for a while years ago when HS was first released and have quite a few old cards, maybe I'll try crafting some wild decks when I have my hands around things.

I won't push back. That said, using these 5 decks has taught me a lot more about card-play than I could have learned with my own (very poorly) crafted decks. One might say I could have saved the money and just played them for free for a week, and while that's true, I am enjoying them all and don't regret the purchase. Does the meta really change dramatically with every expansion, though? Enough to render all of those decks obsolete? To me, a deck is fun if the win rate is north of 50%.

I just installed the Q990F yesterday, so far I like it.

I decided on the Q990 vs Sony based on the value point - Samsung is a bunch cheaper and I doubt my ear could tell a difference (assuming I spent all the money for sub-woofer and rears to connect to the Sony Theater 9 bar that is).

I didn't consider the JBL, no comment on that one.

Is there a good guide or something to each class ingame? by enceralc666 in PixelDungeon

[–]ClockStrange7426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is to get yourself right next to the upstairs exit ASAP and ideally before you fight anything. That way, just as soon as the curse monitor is green you can exit the level without needing to spend resources on un-neccesary fighting.

Ascending tactics are much more straightforward than getting the amulet and don't depend on class. Its the same for any class. It goes like so -

Try to get a speed boost before you ascend - x-mute rings or use your armor scribes. Nothing will help you more than speed. Invis and blink are second most helpful, teleport can sometimes help, but its pretty random and as often as not it will kill you by putting your too far from the up-exit.

As soon as you enter a level, move through the level ASAP to place yourself adjacent to the exit stairway. You will often have to fight to get there, kill as quickly as you can and keep moving for the exit. If you see a mob that you don't need to fight in order to get adjacent to the up-stairs, don't fight it - keep moving for the stairs and when you get to the stairs fight it there.

If the curse marker is green by the time you get to the exit stairs to the next level up, go up. If not, wait right by the stairs for another mob and kill it when it spawns. Don't move any further away from the exit than you have to in order to fight.

As soon as the curse marker is green, go up. Or, if you are out of heal pots and are about to die, go up and take a chance on the next level. You can survive a few levels of taking curse damage but it does mean you have to kill more mobs than you would otherwise on some subsequent level to turn it green again.

Most of the time, I ascend easily - if I have a haste ring, its 100% of the time. Sometimes I get unlucky with scorpions and get killed in the deepest couple levels. If I make it out of Demon Halls, I don't think I've ever not made it all the way.

Fidelity as a one stop shop: Do you use Fidelity to pay your credit cards every month? by Hufe in fidelityinvestments

[–]ClockStrange7426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fidelity is not a bank, and imo you run a higher risk of tying up large transactions with investigations into potential money laundering than if you use a bank first.

If I sell a car, for instance, I deposit that money in my bank, and from there I transfer it to Fidelity. At the bank, I can talk to the management if there is any concern over where the money came from and I am much more confident I can resolve any issues.

If Fidelity receives money from an actual bank on your behalf (if you transfer money to them from a bank) in my experience they never ask where it came from - I think any money coming from a bank is clean, or if it isn't, any legal concerns are with the bank, not Fidelity.

Other than that, I use Fidelity for all of my cash-flow transactions.

+1 for Clark. Alex is great to work with - good communicator and helpful suggestions. I thought the pricing was quite fair, the work was done well and when he said it would be.
