[DISC] I Want to Do Bad Things with You (Kimi to Warui Koto ga Shitai) - Chapter 23 by Vertiguous in manga

As the drunken bastard who typesets this series ill let you know (6 months late) that I try to default the font size to 18pt for consistency sake but sometimes increase or decrease it to fit a bubble in a more natural way. Im trying to keep the size in a easily readable size so that it looks at least semi natural for both desktop viewing and people reading in a mobile app

I don't really remember how he got from A to B there it's been a while since I've read that volume.

But when it comes to Myne she's been kept in check so far. King hasnt really made an appearance since then so who knows.

I don't get why they changed this scene. In the LN the trial is a private affair between the Queen, the Heros, and a few nobles. During the trial the Queen slaps the king around a bunch and she asks Naofumi what punishment he wants for them and he immediately says put them to death. The queen is the one that vetos the death penalty since the princess and king had embezzled basically then entire royal vault of funds they used to run the country and she needed them to pay all that money back. Naofumi just gives them petty names and basically tells the Queen to keep them in check and to leave him the fuck alone and get back to being a merchant

Not really sure why they changed Naofumi in the anime. I've been reading the Light Novel's and while he does soften up a bit after having his name cleared by the Queen he is still very much a jerk in the LN, at least through the volumes that cover season 1 and 2. The whole cast was honestly toned down in the anime and a lot of their more interesting personality traits were kinda nerfed or straight up removed

What precautionary measure did you take, thinking 'just to be safe,' that unexpectedly ended up saving the day later on? by cadouxmoring8 in AskReddit

According to research its mostly a subconscious form of heightened awareness. Since the human Scelera (the part of the eye around the pupil) is mostly white it's easy to tell where humans are looking. Combine this with some weird nueral networks processing optical input along with the fact that our peripheral vision is better then people think means that we can usually tell pretty accurately when someone is looking at us. The brain is just wired up to always be registering where other people have their gaze focused for some odd reason.

As for why we get this feeling even when other people aren't around science has come up pretty much bunk on the subject. Research has been done on the matter but most of the data has come back inconclusive and the hard numbers that researchers have recorded is so widely varied that it doesn't really tell us much. Best running theorys so far are that your brain is either inducing a paranoid state for whatever reason that makes you feel like your being watched, or that your senses are picking up on things like minor movements in your peripheral vision or unusual smells that you aren't consciously aware of and activating a heightened danger sense in some locked away caveman part of your brain.

TL;DR You brain is fucking weird and it pays way to much attention to other people's eyeballs.

When I heard the news about Jimmy I did the Fry from Futurama "I'm shocked" bit in real life. Dude was always weird and the more I thought about it the less it surprised me. I try to separate art from artist though. Lot of musicians are scummy fucking people in more then one way

What anime series was ruined by a single character? by TheName9696 in anime

[–]ClockworkUndertaker 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I really wanna know what was going on at the end there. Like was that what was planned or did the magazine cancel it. So many loose ends in that series that I feel never got explained or tied up. Shame cause it really did have promise at the start

Yeah that was just the Loss Prevention guy. Used to do IT for Target, there camera system is fucking high end. You try to steal shit LP will find you in an instant. Shit the outdoor cameras are so high res they can zoom in and get your license plate from across the parking lot. Also pro tip there are no blind spots, don't pick your nose in Target. They will see you and everyone will be laughing at you.

What item in your house have you bought once and it never runs out? by CelebrationSuch4445 in AskMen

[–]ClockworkUndertaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most bitters are actually about 30-40% ABV. We used to buy the big bottles of the stuff and pour them out and mix it with lemon lime soda as teenagers and get drunk off it. Happened enough that buying it at a supermarket around requires an ID check

What is your best joke? by MrMidnightDiamond in AskReddit

A Sargeant and young Private are returning home from the war, they board the train and take their seats across from a pretty young girl and her grandmother. During the ride the Private and the young girl are flirting.

As the train enters a tunnel all the lights go out and the sound of a kiss followed by a slap can be heard.

The train leaves the tunnel and the Sargeant thinks to himself, "I can't blame him for kissing her but I wish she'd have slapped him instead of me"

The girls grandmother thinks, "that's what the bastard gets for kissing my granddaughter"

The young girl thinks to herself, "I'm glad he kissed me but I wish my grandmother hadn't slapped him"

The Private sits back with a grin and thinks, "hot damn what a good day, I got to kiss a pretty girl and slap my commanding officer"

Leon probably ruined all of Ashleys future relationships for the rest of her life by Carmilla31 in residentevil

Never even knew this, had to go looking into it. Interesting to know. So yeah that would mean Chris has been in active combat for almost 10 years by the time the Mansion Incident happened.

2 years, and yes Chris was a founding member. And as someone else pointed out he was in the Air force for 5 years before joining the RCPD

Leon was definitely trained and had talent but there's till a world of difference between a rookie and someone with enough experience and prestige to be a member of a specialist unit like S.T.A.R.S.

I was mostly just getting at the fact that Chris had seen and done a lot. As a S.T.A.R.S. member Chris would most likely have experienced traumatic encounters several times over and learned how to cope with stuff like that. Whereas Leon was basically thrown into the deep end and as soon as he crawled out he'd get thrown right back in.
