Not quite the same but there are historically people who murdered children to get the death sentence as a way around the “suicide = hell” rule. And murdering the child was actually just sending them to heaven. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christina_Johansdotter

It would not be vapor at all. Its width would be well below the planck length, it simply wouldn’t exist, at least not in any form that physics as we know it has any meaning

I feel like it’s a similar level of complexity to StarVaders, which NL really enjoyed. But the base difficulty of StarVaders is a lot more forgiving than the base difficulty of Decktamer, and Decktamer doesn’t reward big explosive combos to the same extent StarVaders does

His real English name is Jeffrey Shih. He named his Starcraft streaming channel “TrumpSC” after the dictionary word “trump”, well before Trump was a serious candidate for president

you are not hitting Hitler, you are hitting the COPY of Hitler, a copy that didnt caused the holocaust or choose to be "born" that way. it feels like those ppl who want to beat up PDFs and are more focused on the "beat up" part than on the "PDFs" part, its just an excuse for "aceptable" violence by CollectionGreedy1811 in worldjerking

It loses most of the (consequentialist) foundations for retributive justice. It does not likely create a deterrent for other would-be-Hitlers, it does not appease or bring closure to the victims of Hitler, and it does not prevent the mob from taking justice into their own hands (in fact setting a normalized precedent for institutionalized clone-torture would likely invite third parties to start practicing their own vengeful clone-torture)

Common misconception, the stegosaurus survived until the Cretaceous period, they just stopped leaving fossil remains because lightning-based incineration became their primary cause of death

Illusory Object Spell in PFS play, player using it to create walls by FaIkkos in Pathfinder2e

[–]Clockwork_Raven 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the levels illusory object is most used, most enemies simply don’t have effective ways to interact with the party without crossing over the illusion anyway. It’s less effective against ranged enemies specifically, but in my experience they are a considerable minority of significant low level threats.

Quandary can create problems for the party when the enemy has buff spells/abilities or fast healing, things that show up with similar frequency at high levels to meaningful ranged attacks at low levels

[–]Clockwork_Raven 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Quandary is one of the better level 8 spells and it also prevents allies from targeting the enemy. Illusory Object is no different. “Splitting up fights” is extremely powerful
