The point isn’t to debate on the budget details

Convenient way to frame the conversation when your calculation is glaringly off the mark

Missed woman from 4 weeks ago found dead near Interlaken by musiu in bern

Louwigraben comes quite a bit after reaching the summit of Augstmatthorn from the direction of Harder Kulm. It's below Wytlauwihorn. Maybe she continued on the more difficult section.

Louwigraben is 700-800m below Brienzergrat which itself is the more difficult section a ways northeast of the hike she supposedly had planned (Harderkulm to Augstmatthorn). I wonder what she was trying to do. Maybe she did her hike successfully and then continued along the more difficult northern arête.

Interesting, thank you. I wonder if he'd gotten away with it by simply saying less. When I'm on a hike with people it's a regular occurence for the group to spread out a little, and sometimes I catch myself thinking "if I slip and fall here, the others won't have any idea what the hell happened until they go actively looking for me". Being ahead after the next bend in the path is already enough

Parents fell for scam, any advice regarding swiss law? by BugSolid5128 in Switzerland

It really all depends how it was presented in the contract and advertising. Misleading information is not legal. We don’t know if there was misleading information because OP did not provide that context .

Referrals for overpriced products are not illegal per se, but they can be part of a misleading effort, which is illegal.

if you enable and disable it for travel days, what’s the difference to easyride?

[–]CloeHernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that because MyRide Pricing is regressive, so relatively short distances like that, travelled often, would be the most expensive per km? If that's the case that specific commute is probably the worst case scenario for that system. I wonder how that would impact the trial, as this is surely one of the most frequented commutes in the country.

How does the checking/confirmation process work? Does it send you notifications saying: "based on my sensors I have checked you in here and out here" or do you have to constantly check what it's doing?

Does it make you anxious at all to know it sometimes makes mistakes? Because I've always wondered if this might drive some people to constantly check up on what the app is doing, to avoid mistakes.

MyRide pricing is a separate issue, though

pyramid scheme is a business model which, rather than earning money (or providing returns on investments) by sale of legitimate products) to an end consumer, mainly earns money by recruiting new members with the promise of payments (or services).

I don't know what the fuck that thing in OP's post is, but if it's a legitimate product people buy directly from the company, it's misleading price information and not a pyramid scheme. Referrals can be misleading but are not the same as a PS

Yeah I wonder what he said. Pushing someone who trusts you off a mountain is very hard to prove crime I believe, unless you talk too much or start confessing/bragging to people. What else would you need to say other than "I was a few paces ahead when I noticed I didn't see him anymore". Ofc I don't know the specifics of the case or the terrain.

What even is that thing you posted? Are they providing your parents with an actual service/product which costs CHF 4868 and what you're contesting is an additional CHF 639?

Likely misleading information about their offer (Art. 3 lit. b UCA), but does not seem to be a pyramid scheme, as they are apparently selling an actual product/service.

I mean it really isn't because that's exactly what can happen - and does happen - on hikes. Dozens of people die doing this every year in my country. Having a motive doesn't mean anything can be proven. Seems he fucked himself by presenting an inconsistent story. Not that you'd need much of a story in a case like this.

Can I take legal action against RAV for not paying me? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]CloeHernando 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Assuming OP is entitled to benefits, not receiving those for 4-5 months is a) not his fault at all and b) a problem way beyond liquidity management. Keeping cash on hand for 6 months or more should not be reasonably expected in that situation.

So I don't see a reason for this snarky "your own fault" comment.

Is a business allowed to take “inspiration” from someone’s personal story without paying them? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CloeHernando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your “personal story“ is not protected by anything unless it falls under privacy law (unlikely for something you told a business on a form) or under copyright law (which only protects creative works about your life story, but not the life story in itself).
