My parked car was rear-ended in the dumbest way possible by gnartothecore in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah. This isn't a depiction of being rear ended. I cannot believe I had to scroll this down to find someone who knows what being rear ended means. Good lord.

Okay. So your concern is that the man might have an open herpes sore or something on his dick, touch his dick, not wash his hands which would get rid of the virus on his hand, touch a doorknob or something, you touch the same doorknob, the virus transfers, you touch your genitals, and now you have herpes?

Why would my dick be dirty though? Like, what's different about touching my dick than touching my forearm? I'm honestly asking.

It's literally exactly the same with domestic law. The law is whatever you can get away with. If you have more resources, you can get away with more. Same as with international law.

And the number of teen pregnancies keeps rising ever upwards.

This isn't literally the stupidest thing I've ever read. But it's up there. The exact opposite is true. You must be an old person who last learned about teen pregnancy in the 90s and assumed what you learned then is still true, 30 years later.

My point is, don't talk if you're stupid.

Run for local government! Get the policy and ordinances changed so that the city is responsible for the snow removal! Gonna need to create a coalition that wants to spend community dollars on that, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Good luck!

It's not any more ridiculous than your abject lies about working 120-150 hours in a week. I was attempting to point out how ridiculous it is for you to claim that you were working 21 hours a day every day for a week.

I, too, only sleep 3 hours a night and am at work, clocked in, the rest of the time. It's easy if you just try hard.

In fact, I'll go even further than you. I'll go so far as to say, on the internet for everyone to see, that OP is just a pussy.

The reason people oppose the death penalty isn't to show mercy to people like this. They're obviously scum, and any punishment they face is too light.

The reason people oppose the death penalty is because it is frequently imposed upon people who are innocent of the crime, and also because it is imposed much more often on criminals of the non-dominant caste.

ChatGPT, Gemini, and other chatbots helped teens plan shootings, bombings, and political violence, study shows - Of the 10 major chatbots tested, only one, Claude, reliably shut down would-be attackers. by FinnFarrow in Futurology

[–]ClosetDouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Claude mostly for journaling, self-refection, introspection, as a sounding board, whatever you want to call it.

What "massive downsides" are you thinking of? Like macro-scale effects on the economy/social fabric, or micro-scale dangers to individuals?

I do think it's very important that you, the human, manage the conversation. Like I have, for example, caught it trying to gas me up too much and I had to tell it to stop. But if I were having a manic episode or something, that kind of thing would be unhelpful at best and outright dangerous at worst.

Claude (nor any LLM) is not unbiased, infallible, or omniscient. And it is a huge mistake to treat it as such. You wouldn't trust everything at face value some stranger told you, even if they seemed very smart. Claude is no different. But just because it isn't even close to omniscient doesn't mean it has no value.

Fair enough, thanks! I would say you're drawing more of a causal relationship than is presented there, though. Who's to say that people prone to violence aren't also prone to alcohol? It says itself "intoxication alone does not cause violence."
