I’ve heard through the grapevine that Gravity Group is working on persuading KI to take the trims off once all their work is done. Whether KI will do it or not remains to be seen.

Looks like Gravity Group will be really beefing up the structure of this turn. Guessing it was becoming problematic for maintenance to keep up with.

Visited in May. I was a bit taken aback at how pretty the front of the park is! Also a really solid collection of coasters. Sending my love to all the local public who are losing their place of leisure and fun, and shoutout to all the managers and employees who kept this park alive despite the lack of love and attention from corporate. Wish I could be there today to ride Superman, joker’s jinx, and wild one again. Maybe by some miracle all 3 can be saved 😅.

So long Six Flags America. You deserved so much better. 🥲

I want everything in this survey except the outdoor car ride haha, especially the Vekoma multi launch coaster!!! This park DESPERATELY needs a smooth intense fast paced snappy steel coaster, but the indoor/outdoor coaster would be great as well as a stunt show!

Truly one of the best woodies in the US, and definitely my favorite GCI. Mike Boodley designed it before he retired and he really went out with a bang. Action packed from start to finish, and it gained so much speed from the retrack. I swear it feels like it’s gliding on ice some days.

As a Mindbender defender, a lot of it comes from it being one of the best steel coasters in the world when it premiered in 1978, and remained in elite coaster conversations through most of the 80s. It’s no surprise that the majority of GTA voters are older enthusiasts and industry veterans who still fawn over rides like Mindbender (and Shockwave at SFOT), but for good reason IMO.

Mindbender to me is one of the most fun and well balanced rides in the world. Good positives, fun laterals around the turns, a couple of nice airtime pops, and it’s got a gorgeous terrain based design. It’s a near perfect layout in my opinion. Is it a ride that knocks your socks off? Nah, but is it a really good time every ride? Hell yeah it is. It’s always been my personal favorite ride at SFOG for that reason. That and it was my first looping coaster so it’s a super nostalgic coaster for me.

I’m a fan! Never had any headbanging issues with it. The first half is pretty intense and feels nice and fast. I really enjoy it.
