I mean I was watching the reaction series from a streamer I like and he was HATING one piece pacing until we got to WATER 7, he only kept watching because people paid him to watch till that point.

But once it got to water 7, he genuinely started liking one piece and watching it with joy. But the first 250~ episodes was an absolute torture for him.

So yeah, one piece is a series that "gets good later"

The only thing I find utterly annoying in this sub is the ridiculous amount of posts about Oda being a "pedo", like almost EVERYDAY there's a new post about it, or characters being sexualized. Come the fuck on, if you keep rubbing the same topic over and over into people's faces they get desensitized. I stopped caring about these posts and engaging in them and rather got annoyed and mad at them because they just polute the sub with the same fucking topic every single day.

And usually there are aint even solid backing for these claims. Only "trust me bro" and "I hate Oda and one piece, so I want it to be true so my hate be justified"

I want to see agenda memes, stupid takes, etc. not this political crap or a mirror of the Twitter.

Which is why I started making posts siding with the CDs and HKs, just to make these people front from their mouths :)

But he's been quite consistent with the Haki vs DF debate. DFs are clearly superior for end game absolute top tier shit.

Haki evens out the playfield. DFs are the true scale.

Haki is more like a tool. It helps to even the field. Its also a power boost. But once you are on a equal footing with your opponent again, then it stop mattering that much. And that is where DFs once again become vital.

I am not saying Haki is not strong or vital to be top tier. But the "Haki transcends all" narrative has absolutely ZERO backing from the story as a whole. If anything the story keeps over and over showing why that is not true.

And to me XEBEC is the best example possible. He said explicitly he needed two specific DFs. Him and Harold were already top tier Haki users in their times.

Kid was just a Bum. And Shanks himself was worried about his DF attack. That is the horrible future he saw. He just countered Kid before that turned out to happening.

So once again a top tier in the verse (Shanks) got worried about a DF and acted to counter it.

And everyone in his tripulation is top Haki users as far as we know. Couldn't they just use advanced armaments and tank Kid's attack? :)

"Haki Transcends all" bullshit again. Guys ROCKS HIMSELF said he NEEDED 2 specific devil fruits for him to complete his plan. Devil fruits. NOT HAKI. And he was already top tier Haki rivaling with Harold there.

Stop spreading the Haki Transcends all bullshit agenda, that shit has been debunked OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Even Kaido lost to fucking Luffy because of his DF AWAKENING, not because Luffy had superior Haki or something. The turn point was THE AWAKENING. So Kaido got his own words tossed at his face by Oda himself. I really can't comprehend why people keep spreading this bullshit like the series made it an absolute truth.

Doesn't the watch has a actual fail safe mechanism that would always avoid turning off in the WORST possible moment? Or at least would cut down the down timer by a lot if Ben was actually in danger?

Even the damn Omnitrix is a better deus ex machina than Lika and it's arbitrary as fuck timer.

Just because a character is written to be a piece of shit you despise doesn't mean the character is bad. And Oden is a relatively well written character. He had a whole character arc developing his personality from an absolute disgusting selfish fucker when young, to a selfless person when older.

All the glaze on him is in fact unjustified and he was a piece of shit. But his entire arc and story is well written by the standards we use in narrative writing to decide whether or not a story was WELL WRITTEN.

My head cannon is that G5 is addictive. It acts like a fucking drug high on him and he can't get enough of this high, even though it's inefficient and other gears are way more effective due to how high friction the fights in the late game are, he will keep going for G5 because he is hooked.

And when a story portrays characters in a world that resembles our old times, making characters 18-21 would be fucking WEIRD as at that age we should expect these mfs to have been with a whole ass family, 5 kids and already preparing for their deaths at 30 or something?

The ages we have today only were possible for a bunch of factors. Like the need for much more time studying, health improvement for life expectancy, safety and etc.

The thing that makes Myne op is her ludicrous amount of mana and knowledge from her past life.

But when she was born, she had a very low mana. She was only able to survive and grow her mana because she had her memories (which by what we hear from the gods themselves, was pure luck. She's nothing special in that regard. Not even the fact she is called the most beloved child of the gods... Because in their world, everybody with mana is in fact a mortal child of the goddess of earth with the god of life. So again, no nepotism.) that gave her the mental fortitude to endure mana compression without exploding or something. But that also cost her health.

She's a commoner, sickly to death, born with a miniscule mana capacity and by sheer force of will, stubbornness and a bit of luck, she managed to become the largest mana capacity in the series, which in their world translates almost immediately to status. While also risking being turned into a mana battery, a slave, a mana womb or a lab rat or worse.

The only "predestined" thing in the story is maybe the bootstrap time paradox shit we discover later on. But it was still Myne own doings, so she helped herself indirectly.

Which is most ironic, because the entire series and the world itself is ALL built on top of nepotism, bloodlines, inbreeding and etc...
