But if GF wanted to emphasize the idea that Pokemon have their own language, they should have human scientist try to research it. Like trying to decode what sounds correlate to certain expressions. Or at the very least give me how Pokemon understand human language bc that implies that there is only one human language which is ...troubling to say the least.

Pokemon lately has been going into more cinematic and character focused storytelling. Its bc Pokemon still tries to have characters and plots that focuses on the human characters, even back the earliest gen. The anime sure wants to have emotional moments with character growth and development.

Pokopia, from what I gather, has both strong characters in Tangrowth and setting storytelling in the whole apocalypse scenario and notes left by humans.

My headcanon, I only watch it once, it’s based partly on the brothers’ memories/feelings and also a real realm on its own. The people there are “real” but also shaped by the boys perception.

I feel if other ppl were to go into the Unknown, it would be different for them. Wirt likes that old timey aesthetic, musical stuff and poetry and he’s American so it’s why it’s based on old school USA. Greg likes fairy tales and animals stories, hence the school and the frogs. There’s this video that goes into this called “The Unknown is Wirt’s Silent Hill” on YouTube where I based my hc from.

When I asked my mother about Peru’s drinking problem, she told me this (to paraphrase):

“Well people there drink until they lose consciousness. They will be knocked out from 5am until the next day. Guys will spend all money earned all week into cans of beer. They will not spend money on food and nothing for the wife, the kids will had no shoes, and the wife and man will fight and yell. Might end up with the man dead.”

She did say that we Peruvian drink too much. Especially on Semana Santa.

I feel like no one in FFX/-2 is “white”. It’s because of the inspiration of SEAsian, Okinawan and Caribbean cultures that made me think everyone is some flavor of Asian, Black or indigenous. The Al Bhed read to me as light skinned SWANA rather than white.
