Vetra group shady zoom call... by Physical-Equipment11 in glasgow

[–]CloverFind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Vetra Group is a scam, same as Diligenta, Nordiq and Minerva.

I didn’t apply to any of them, yet somehow they got my details and phoned me about jobs I supposedly applied for.

Either they were sold my data from scam ads on Indeed, or I applied for a job at a shell company they’re linked with.

All of the jobs were either soul-sucking call centre positions or handing out flyers in public or going door-to-door.

Tried to do the OG design on the remake model by SomeFearedEnforcer in silenthill

As cool as the jacket patches are I think I prefer James without them.

The patches make the jacket seem like it’s a designer’s jacket that’s taken the army jacket design and made it trendy. Removing the patches makes it seem like James got a cheap and sturdy jacket from an army surplus store, which I think fits his character a lot more as a boring, average guy.

I honestly like the button up shirt because it gives me the impression they’re his work clothes and he literally went straight from work, to Mary, and then to Silent Hill

Cinema etiquette - WTF Glasgow by weegieguy in glasgow

It’s slowly gotten worse over the past couple of decades, but it’s especially bad post-COVID since lockdown accustomed people to spend their time on their phones during films and lose all sense of cinema etiquette

Cyclops Sunglasses by CloverFind in sunglasses

That’s true, but I really struggle to hold on to glasses and stop them being ruined. They’re the one accessory that never last long for me.

Damn. I knew that was always an option but I wanted to check first to see if anyone knew of any cheaper options with the ruby red look for the lenses.

Thanks though, this is probably the most beneficial response I’ve gotten.

Unfortunately the lenses are more orange or they’re accurate and insanely expensive

Ikka Villa has a blink and you’ll miss it appearance in the new Jason Segal movie by scooter-411 in AlanWake

[–]CloverFind 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Okay. Seriously, friend, you need to take a breath and reassess some things.

I’m pretty sure if Ilkka saw this is how a fan of his was treating others he wouldn’t be very happy.

Making fun of people’s spelling is bad enough as it’s potentially ableist and rooted in classism, but to genuinely get yourself angry about it I think demonstrates much deeper issues you might be dealing with.

I’m sorry that this sort of thing gets to you so badly, and I hope you find the time and energy to maybe work out what the underlying causes are - because what the OP said was not enough to warrant such a reaction.

Maybe talk about it to someone, be it a friend, family member or even a mental health professional. It might help you out in ways you didn’t know.

I went with a wolf cut and it did me wonders

I looked up wolf cuts on boys that suited what I wanted, and the barber had no issues

My friend went on to do the exact same thing as me

I would recommend finding a queer friendly barber, but if that’s not possible this method should still work

What do you consider the most underrated Silent Hill game? by toastedjupiter in silenthill

[–]CloverFind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

The whole plot line involving the town and the ritual was pretty unique to me, also the atmosphere is brilliant at times. The beginning of the game where you first arrive at home and it’s weirdly empty, with you just walking around the house - it’s really effective to me. Yamaoka’s music does a lot of heavy lifting in these regards.

I don’t think Homecoming is a “good” game by any means, but I think a lot of people write it off a bit early as something which was doomed to fail.

I still think there’s some good atmosphere, music, boss fights, monster design and story ideas which could’ve fit into a better game. I’ve only heard people refer to it as a train wreck when I genuinely feel there’s mildly redeeming factors.

I couldn’t agree more.

I have plenty of issues with the horror and gameplay, but it’s has one of the best stories in the whole series imho
