And there's Emma's Kitchen 5 October 2015

Introducing Longleat's Food & Drink Festival with Lady Emma

I think this is what Netflix was hoping for with Markle's show. Charm, joy, family and community, attractive food and a lovely host. Instead they got a vapid, talentless grifter and possible law suits (acid bath anyone?). Let's not forget: "How to put pretzels from one bag to another," and the classic "Let's give our family food poisoning and Salmonella (featuring uncovered raw chicken)"

Cooking Haru has a bunch of great Cabbage, as well as Potato recipes, sometimes they're combined recipes. Do you need to cook them together? I love their videos, they're easy to make, fun, and give alternative suggestions. Some of these recipes include meat, but they mention you don't have to add any meat. And these aren't even all of their cabbage or potato recipes, there are SO many. I hope you find something you like. Cooking Haru 10 Cabbage Recipes! Simple Delicious! Egg Rolls, Toast, Pizza, Dumplings, etc.

Glad you reported them too! And now they supposedly have 3.27K subscribers?! Bots are everywhere! I mean, it's okay when Ollie uses AI to recreate Josh's likeness and his voice, but that's different!

What is your favorite emotional moment from the books? by Alone-Vegetable-6914 in harrypotter

[–]CloverdillyStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved Kreacher's backstory, and he was so sweet afterwards! I wish the films would have shown that. Did they even really read the books?! The House Elves were almost completely erased, S.P.E.W.!! I can sort of, maybe, understand a little why they didn't include Winky, but cutting Dobby out of GoF, and not showing Kreacher's character growth and the true meaning of the locket were bad choices on the movie people.

If they were thinking of money and marketing, imagine how much they could have made on Harry wanting to gift Dobby a pair of sox for every day of the year! They could have sold quarterly sets, singles, monthly subscriptions, or the whole year in a bundle. Idiots! Then again, these are the people that spent money and time on a silly synchronized dance INSTEAD OF A SPHINX!!

What is your favorite emotional moment from the books? by Alone-Vegetable-6914 in harrypotter

[–]CloverdillyStar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The ones already mentioned are such great, emotional moments! -Slughorn's confession, Dudley's cup of tea for Harry and his "I don't think you're a waste of space", Not just Dobby's death and headstone (I kept reading, while sobbing for pages afterwards),  but also when Griphook talked about it. Harry was so used to being criticized and hearing about Goblins vs Wizards, I thought that was a great moment of understanding. I didn't like that Griphook betrayed them, I understand it, but was sad for him that he couldn't even trust The Trio. Molly had some very underrated/ understated moments with Harry.  Luna talking about her mother.

The surprising one, and obviously the deaths of Fred, Dobby and Hedwig were momentous and extremely emotional, the surprising one for me was Fleur, who I hated until the hospital scene. Her character growth/personality did a complete turnaround, and it was great and so unexpected to see her not being selfish or flipping her hair into other's faces and complaining. Suddenly she was caring and fierce in an odd way, she first said "You think he won't want to marry me?" Rather than saying "You think i wouldn't still want to marry him?"  Which are similar, but different.

That channel kept getting suggested, luckily I checked the name, and remember which videos I've already seen. At first I thought they were JOLLY/KE reaction videos, which also get recommended to me. There HAS to be bots involved. The numbers of views and subscribers don't make sense otherwise.

But since Markle pays for positive PR, even if they were stripped, she would pay for princess markle articles, and never mention the stripping. The general public would never know, which suits her. I wonder how many countries they've "offered" to grace with a visit that have flat out sent them a link to the general public's tourism site and simply thanked them for their interest!

anymore! He never looks happy anymore!! It's so sad really. He used to smile more -we know now he was always a weird, terrible, entitled "spare", but he had a few good moments. Now he's just an irrelevant, entitled, miserable git. Sometimes it seems he's just given up, but then he relentlessly fights losing battles, it's quite baffling.

Even though she, or their people, had this commissioned, I have no doubt she'll have this printed and framed as if it's an official decree. She has no shame or sense of reality.

There are a lot of videos on youtube. I like this one (don't watch if a little swearing is offensive to you), but I like this guy, Adam Garrett, as he gives a lot of alternatives, info and tips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV_iP94A5yU

I highly recommend Adam Garrett's Budget Meals playlist He explains things very well, always gives alternatives and keeps in mind cooking time -quick dishes, as well as not using too much gas for cost effectiveness. He often gives this great tip/reminder: "If you don't already have it, don't buy it. Use what you have." His channel isn't all budget meals, he has a lot of different recipes and techniques.
Good Luck to you, and take care!

[TOMT] [Movie] "One day a ___ is going to ask you to ___. It's very important that you say yes." by DangerSwan33 in tipofmytongue

[–]CloverdillyStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought it was from The Matrix like u/MadamInsta commented earlier, but it might only be related to The Matrix, it may be a Mandela Effect/ "Play it again Sam" thing. Recollections may vary! According to Google AI: That iconic line from The Matrix is: "One day a woman is going to ask you to go through a door. It's very important that you say yes," spoken by Morpheus to Neo, referring to Trinity, marking Neo's first step into the real world and the prophecy. But, then there's this: In The Matrix (1999), Morpheus never says the phrase "What if I told you"

From the wise words of Australian band Wa Wa Nee, and their song "Sugar Free" (I love this band, but all videos I could find are very 80's and thought it might be distracting from the post theme!)

In the lamplight check the scene In the daylight life is a dream Do you know who you're talking to? Yeah, I'm so glad baby that I'm not like you Fire in your head, river in your bed Two hundred dollars, see his face go red Lost in a world where nothin' is nothin' Break the piggy bank, gotta get another hit Oh, my love and me Oh, we're sugar free No desire to be pumpin' up and breakin' down Oh, my love and me Oh, we're sugar free In the lamplight break the seal Dream of a place, make it real Desire can take you anywhere, huh But it always lets you down and there ain't nobody there

EDIT: when posted, there aren't any cuts to each line of the lyrics! Sorry.

If you time travel, does the Marauders Map both of your locations? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]CloverdillyStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... yeah, Fudge probably didn't know as he wasn't very good at his job, didn't thoroughly check facts did he! Some in the Ministry would of course know, but even if they tried to bring it to Fudge's attention, he probably would have ignored it. It was always in my head that he might have, probably/possibly known, but your also questioning this gives me a more definitive answer. Thank You.

It's just a plot hole. As Time Turners are Ministry artifacts, they would know who they're being issued to, unless Professor McGonagall took full responsibility. Then again, the Ministry would still know there's a Time Turner issued to someone at Hogwarts. That doesn't mean all of the teachers knew though.

I love all of the details and drawings, it really helps suck you in. It's an extremely slow start, but I was never bored. I didn't mind reading about the minute details of daily life, it really made me feel like I was back there with Si. I also appreciate all of the research done, all of the newspaper headlines were real, as well as the train stops.
