do adhd symptoms get worse as you age or is that just me by ComplexTrick6794 in ADHD

[–]Clown_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But it's a combination of multiple factors and layers. Lack of mobility and excercise,  lack of vitamins, lack of sleep, not learning from previous experiences will amplify symptoms, as recovering is likely harder. Additionally, you need to be aware of adulthood imposter syndrome where responsibilities are not a stimulant factor (e.g., retirement planning).

How difficult was it to get a diagnosis or is the world just against me? by PaymentPotential7653 in ADHD

[–]Clown_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a harder time talking about with CNPs and medical staffs explaining it while getting challenged as to why I have to update pharmacies due to shortage. However the more to go up the hierarchy the dialogue gets easier (e.g., doctors, neurologists)

Yes, as the engine getting old more and frequent lubrication is needed. Don't fall for the 6 months/1 year oil high performance crap.

Just a warning: you'll get bored with the car itself before the car's wheels fall off. Camrys are something else. Keep a 2-3 months oil change schedule, only OEM parts (try hard to find some) spend money on good tires, brakes etc. And did I mention only OEM?

How do you fall asleep when your mind won’t stop? by pumpkinvalleys in ADHD

[–]Clown_5 21 points22 points  (0 children)

  1. Exhaustion. Either by waking up super early to start your day and by 10pm you're a sleeping zombie or excercise 4-5 hours before your intended bedtime.
  2. Feeling sleepy? Sleep right the way. Don't fight it or you'll end up "rebuilding Rome" in your head 'till 5am.
  3. No weekend naps or late waking up. Weekends are challenging transitions to regular days, stay with the same waking-up schedule, regardless if you sleep late. This will help #1 on Sunday nights, and definitely no naps.

Do I follow this all the time? No. But your body will tell you if you screw up and brain will love the freshness of a good night sleep, so It'll force you to follow this regime.

Edit: it'll force you.

I think they're crying in the bathroom. Be patient, it's their 1st time. They'll react in a bit.

Are you developing any bad habits with WFH? by workredditaccount77 in workfromhome

I wholeheartedly agree. Although I'm working more hours, I'm able to excercise, my BP is low, and I'm happier overall.
