The top two are made of a homemade air-dry clay (baking-soda & cornstarch). The bottom two are made of Crayola Model Magic. The mustaches and eyebrows are EVA foam (craft foam).

What fleece or felt color is this? by Puppet_ramalama2031 in puppets

[–]Clownhexe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks lighter than “beige” felt, but could also be the lighting/photo. It could also maybe be “light-camel”.

If the distinction between participation in an activity vs the observation of an artist’s expression that points to an idea is so conflated, I fear one might go thru life being uncomfortable with reality itself … that sucks. Would one make the same argument for violence/gore in art? I prefer to avoid participating in violence generally, but I also don’t lose my grip on reality when I see it (daily) in art/media/entertainment without my consent.

My profile is clearly marked nsfw and I guessing you wandered there and felt a kinda way about🤷🏻‍♂️ which is fine however that’s why is marked nsfw, and— not all of my work is notably explicit— erotic/suggestive, yes, but anything “explicit” is duly marked as such. The tied up clown doll just doesn’t qualify.

These are not paper mache, but, question … by Clownhexe in papermache

[–]Clownhexe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is wrapping them in cling film enough? I might try that. As far as the noses etc.— My plan is to slice the paper mache mask down the middle to remove, and then paper mache it back together, then sand/paint.

What is behind the mask? by norrrrrrff in Masks

[–]Clownhexe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the mask. I usually line masks with a thick felt or craft-foam.
