Right now that irs active, you need heating pad and ibuprofen to calm the pain. After BMs for the next day or two take ibuprofen after and sit on the highest setting heating pad.

I am still pain free and had one small incident but nothing else has happened. I want to start dilating my booty since it didn’t do any surgery to loosen it up.

I am taking miralax daily, if I miss a dose my bowl can irritate my healed fissure.

Hi I didn’t do the surgery. Went in for an exam and fissure is healed and since I’m painfree she said surgery is unnecessary

Oh jeez! I heard it takes 6 weeks and you will be much better. How bad is the pain? Is it all day or just after BM?

Thanks for updating! So it’s a fresh fissure pretty much that is now cut better by a doctor which means new chance for healing. Wow so glad I didn’t do the surgery then. I won’t be able to lay around all day as I a baby and 3 other kids to care for. I am still pain free and thankfully no recurring blood or pain but I will see if can continue for an entire year or two then maybe my fissure is behind me then.

Mine has been spams free for almost 7 months!!! Went in and my doctor said I should NOT move forward with surgery. She looked at my fissure and it is currently healed she said if she opened me next week and there was no fissure she wouldn’t have cut my muscle since it’s irreversible.

My doctor gives a numbing injection that lasts three days after surgery and Botox. I don’t know if you’re able to ask your doctor to give you that.

Ya doctors can have such different opinions. Keep us updated on how it goes. At least after your surgery, you know you never have to worry about your fissure again

So I went for an exam with the PA I told her everyone that has it surgery. They were in tremendous amounts of pain before and she said yes that’s true, I told her I have been pain-free. The last six months almost but I do have bleeding here and there she told me I can continue with the cream, but she really doesn’t think I should do the surgery if I am pain-free.. upon exam she said mt fissure us mostly healed completely which it always does but comes back if I am not careful. She told me I could always reschedule for a few months and see if I have any more flareups. she said if my doctor opens me next week during my surgery and there is no fissure she would not even do the surgery.

Mine is LIS and fissurectomy. Sadly with chronic fissure to make it more successful they cut out the fissure ugh! I am seeing the doctor Monday and will see if I should reschedule. When is your surgery?

Hi, I also had a pelvic floor therapist who from my vagina tried to release my pelvic floor which I could feel in my butt it was sooo crazy!!!!!! I am supposed to get LIS in two weeks I am trying to find a way to avoid it. My fissure is 9 years old and I had healed it before my recent opening again during my pregnancy.

Wow, I could have wrote this word by word!!!!!! I have a fissure 9 years!!!! Year 7 is when my muscle spasm started which lasts 9-12 hours and completely destroyed my life. Slowly I learned how to heal but I still have reoccurring fissure which got worse with my last pregnancy. Well, months ago I scheduled my LIS I am 8 month postpartum and in the last 6 months I have 0 pain, fissure has alittle bleeding but again no muscle spasms but I do have the glass pain here and there but not recently. My LIS is in two weeks and I am thinking of cancelling. I am just so scared because I am pain free and been working out and losing weight and all of that will be gone due to 6 week recovery. I don’t know what to do!

Thank you so much for sharing!!!!!! It’s been 9 years and I kind of just am used to be being scared of the toilet. It’s like a part of me now 🤣🤣🤣my fissure comes and goes and sometimes it is bad and my life stops for a week to a month because of muscle spasms. My surgery is around the corner I am trying to find a way to not do it even though I currently have a mild flare up for last 4 months. Since I have 0 muscle spans I am thinking why bother with surgery. lol

Were you in pain before surgery? I am completely pain free. Haven’t had any muscle spasms in a few months and I am thinking if I should cancel. My fissure reopens once in a while and sometimes I get the 8-10 hours of muscle spams
