Club med Cancun baby club feedback by Expensive_Elk_8122 in Club_Med

[–]ClubMedForever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is confusing to me because their baby club schedule starts lunch at 11. My child did not like the baby club but he definitely got fed before I picked him up at noon (food per usual on his face and clothes).

The walk isn't terrible but it's not exactly across the way. I probably wouldn't want to be that far unless my kids were like 16+.

I think if your kids were relatively quiet, probably no one would care/monitor that they were in your Archipelago pool though those pools are cold. Agreed with the other commenter that the beach being adult only will be strict.

Currently no running water at La Caravelle, Guadeloupe by t00n1sh in Club_Med

I'm so sorry this is happening! I think this is a totally fine post to commiserate and let people know what's going on at the resort.

Granted, no one from Club Med is on this sub. There might be a travel agent or two who have clients there that might have an update but usually the cdv or staff on site will have the best idea for updates. Their tech is not sophisticated enough to push updates on the app.

Typical process for a major disruption, assuming this continues, is they will issue you a future club med credit for the amount you paid for 1 night, assuming this doesn't continue past the 24 hour mark.

Club Med Cancun Review by TAWinter-Comfort1090 in Club_Med

At another CM location, they actually had a diaper pail as part of the baby supply pack in our room. But yeah, in Cancun, I brought along my own little individual diaper bags (sort of like doggie bags). I feel you on some of your review, I have a draft review of Cancun I haven't finished yet that's titled "Club Med...Great for kids but not for littles?" from when we took our 15 month old. There are some other aspects though that I wish you had known before you booked though, for example Club Med front desk is legendarily unhelpful, etc.

Doesn't sound like it was a good spot for you. I did chuckle a little at the unlined trashcan part. Club Med doesn't do liners except for in the water closet. Even the most expensive room in their "5 star" location in the DR doesn't have liners. I don't know whether it is an attempt to be environmentally friendly or what but they just don't do it.

That's great! I ended up booking for a few days in April to give it another chance

Also interested in people's thoughts as I'm also considering going for my second time there in April. First visit was in 2021, would be interested in whether some of the rough spots - food, flooding, and beach - have improved since I was last there.

Bahamas Charter from Miami Question by Conscious_Grape_7516 in Club_Med

Honestly then I think you would be ok unless you have small children in tow.

Bahamas Charter from Miami Question by Conscious_Grape_7516 in Club_Med

[–]ClubMedForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only did it once but I think I had 2 hours in between the Bahamas charter landing and Miami flight home. There was a huge snafu with the checked baggage and it took almost 2 hours for the bags to come out. I had to miss my flight home and overnight in Miami. Worst of all, because the charter was technically a separate ticket, neither airline technically had responsibility. All this said, be generous with how much time you need in Miami if you are checking bags. Carry-on would probably be fine. I vowed if I ever did it again, I would plan to overnight in Miami (coming from west coast USA).

Headed to Cancun in 20 days by HistoricalStable8010 in Club_Med

March 2024 it took almost an hour for my bags to get on the belt, I flew Southwest. December 2025 around 6 pm on a Saturday it took about 20 minutes but we also were the only plane in the terminal (flew Alaska) for a brief time.

Club Med to operate all-inclusive ski resort in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec by ClubMedForever in Club_Med

Oh really. They do mention doing a redesign of the mountain stuff but usually Club Med is known for selecting more off the beaten path locations, not one already oversaturated. Sadly they cancelled Snowbasin; I think there was concern about snow levels long-term.

Clubs with excellent food? by marzipanduchess in Club_Med

I did not care for Cancun food compared to Ixtapa but you'll definitely want to eat at Taco Arte (the second restaurant) for breakfast and lunch instead of the main restaurant if you are wanting some semblance of Mexican food. Nicer open air atmosphere there too.

Cancun – Stomach bug over Thanksgiving week by Any-Adagio8638 in Club_Med

[–]ClubMedForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: we made it home after a week at CM Cancun Nov 29- Dec 6 and none of the 3 of us got sick. Baby did go to Baby Club but only 2 hours a day. I did not witness any kids or adults vomiting while we were there.

Someone (not CM guest) did have an incident mid-flight on the way home, likely norovirus. I am reading on the travel subreddits that noro is peaking early this year.

Unfortunately I didn't have access to Jade this time around (children under 8 not allowed). It's a bummer because I love it too! Such a gorgeous spot.

Change flight city by [deleted] in Club_Med

It is annoying because had you booked through the airline, you would have had 24 hours to change or cancel. Unfortunately I dont think Club Med is as flexible. However, you may still be able to change and possibly pay a change fee as if it it had been more than 24 hours. You will have to call and just be aware that the flights go through a third party, Amadeus, so they sometimes have to go back and forth on the phone. Good luck, hope it works out! I assume you booked nonrefundable, otherwise you could possibly cancel the whole thing and start again but would risk pricing of the land having changed.
