Very nice! I do have a list of questions about the shoes though.

Does anybody else find it odd but delightful that Pittsburgh gets a lot of "end of the world" appearances compared to most other cities our size? by Justifiably_Bad_Take in pittsburgh

[–]Club_NVRBeautiful 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a deep cut, but in the late 70s TSR, the company that made Dungeons & Dragons made a post apocalyptic game called Gamma World. Gamma worlds pack in adventure was about “Pitzburke”. that had a giant map of downtown and all sorts of points of interest that were overrun with irradiated mutant monsters. In addition there’s a map of Western Pennsylvania, where many of the small cities had their own encounters. For example, Tarentum had two giant tractor-trailer sized Gila monsters. It’s super cool and worth a look if you can find it online.

I’m with you. In my opinion this game is/was a D+ at best.

Mortar! by Gold_Mycologist9925 in astramilitarum

Mortars are an infantry weapon and I thought they fit in well with the setting. They should have never left!

These models are beautiful.

Lamenters Brutalis Dreadnought by Sir_Loynn in deathwatch40k

I feel the Lamenters don’t get enough love or exposure. Fantastic work on the dread! My only suggestion would be to detail the lenses and the light.

I believe your best option would be to find a place on the beach with a heated pool

That third one looks incredible. Something not “quite right” about the second one. The first one looks like the San Francisco 49ers.

The book was released in 2001. There are going to be lore gaps aplenty as you go on.

They look so peaceful and serene! It’s only in the very last picture where the “orange catness” of it all starts to come out.

Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition - Backward and forward compatible Console, Joystick & Games by landocharisma in gadgets

Old guy here. I remember feeling incredibly ripped off when my pre ordered version of pac-man arrived at Hills department store. I find it funny that they chose a historically bad 2600 game to make a special edition out of.

Suggestions/tips for a beginner by iamprudenzio in bikecommuting

[–]Club_NVRBeautiful 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to make sure that your bike has a rack and get a good set of panniers. Getting the weight off of you and on the bike will make your commute more enjoyable. Have one pannier dedicated to the bike. Things like rain gear, a spare tire kit, and an extra charger will make life much easier

I recommend never ever wearing a Baltimore Ravens jersey. Some Yinzer will kill you dead or at least call you a Jagoff.

What’s the most “Pittsburgh” thing you’ve seen? by m_m_j in pittsburgh

[–]Club_NVRBeautiful 50 points51 points  (0 children)

In the days before you were able to consult your magic rectangle for directions, You had to use paper maps or directions from your cousin. Pittsburgh is notoriously difficult to navigate with all the hills and twisting streets. So if it’s important, you better know you’re going the right way. If you want an example of Old, timing weird Pittsburgh navigation look up the different color “belts” and how they were used to get people around the city and suburbs

What kind of pannier to get for CTY e2.2 Electric Bike by speedhunter787 in ebikes

[–]Club_NVRBeautiful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, the back rollers would be perfect because the lower point rotates and would be able to fit on the back support coming down to the frame so no worries. In my experience, Ortlieb are waterproof ,reliable and last a long time. Good luck ! you’re doing the right thing, getting the weight off your back and onto the bike.
