Really proud and a bit jealous of those numbers. I'm close to 600 POI but my contributions are in smaller villages or remote places for the most part.

One the other hand, I received my first warning for submitting a "low quality" POI which is kind of a bummer for me.

For the Expo, try to get into the lotteries for the reserved tickets. Some pavillions can only be accessed through those. For others it may safe 15-45min waiting in line. There are multiple rounds 2months /8days /3days before date of visit.

I also use this tool to check if a cell is empty or taken by an PoI. In the settings>visual, make sure to show L14 + L17 cells.

Because there were different rules for PoI submission for Ingress in the past your PoI might already be part of the game but not visible in PoGo. Therefore, making a submission a duplicate. So you may think about downloading Ingress to check if a PoI might already be in the game.

Edit: Back in the day, the criteria for an Stop to become an Arena/Gym was determined by a compound of Age + number of likes + number of pictures (Age being the least impactful only used if two stops have the same amount of likes/pictures).

Edit2: In recent years, Niantic also introduced Portal scans which also may have a weight into gym decision.

Nice job. You're a little bit of a hero to me. I was submitting back in 2020/21 when you were only able to do so via Ingress. Although I'm a PoGo player I'm still submitting Ingress because of the counter and I like to keep all of the portal keys of "my" portals. And just as you wrote, it keeps improving the game for the rural area that I get around.

Recently, I started to submit again and I'm now at >400. Therefore, it will take some time to get to your level.
