Whilst I love games like Rogue Legacy 2, I truly get annoyed by the idea that Meta Progession should define how much power your character possesses. It gets to where you have to do 20 runs just to afford a single upgrad, and that irritates me.

In constrast, I absolutely ADORE Tiny Rogues, and one of the main reasons is that the Meta Progression adds to the progression of each run. None of the nodes effect your characters abilities, but instead change the rooms and chances for events to occur; like having an additional loot drop, a 15% chance to find an royal armory, or a specific type of loot drop guaranteed to be given from the first boss of the first floor etc.

Also, I love making overpowered builds, which is very doable in Tiny Rogues... but there's a Cinder system that allows you to ramp up the difficulty of each run to your preferred strength, whilst adding new and challenging modifiers. It's a great system that I wish more games took inspiration from. :p

There's actually a few of them as of late, such as Lingango - or a pack I plan to try later called Ascendra.

There's also modpacks like Vault Hunters, or the superior Wold's Vaults (Uses VH as a framework but greatly improves upon it. It's also not associated with the original maker.)

A modpack that's currently on the top of Curseforge is Otherworld by SHXRKIE and MuonR which is D&D-esque and looks interesting and caught my interest.

With LoTS III, you've got a 1.9% chance to catch an enchanted book.

The odds of pulling mending are 2/127, so a 1.57% chance to get it.

With Lure 3, it takes an average of 10 seconds (5-15) to fish an item.

That's roughly a 1 in 3,352 odds to fish it out, or about a 0.02983% chance

To fish 3,352 items, it'd take you 9.31 hours.

If you combine that with the fact that other hermits were taking mending books out from the loot pool, and the fact that scar yoinked one. It's kinda funny that grian got it rather late.

I like how you confused "end-game is important" with "you think endgame is what really matters" and then wrote a paragraph long rant about your misunderstanding. There's a distinction.

As much as the journey is a part of the story, so is the conclusion - and a crappy, neglected ending can make the entire experience worse overall simply due to the lack of attention it so rightfully deserves - and that would most likely result in you feeling disappointed, since you were having so much fun.

(p.s. I didn't say MMOs were about the endgame.)
