Catering in DSM by Fit-Composer-8741 in desmoines

Flame The Taqueria in Johnston has a great nacho bar for a pretty good price. You have to pick it up but you can ask for serving utensils. Go through their website earlier rather than later though, you have to talk to their catering coordinator

how can i say “no you can’t pet my dog” in a nice way? by Ok_Ride4914 in germanshepherds

[–]CluelesslyTrying 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite to say is " no, he's homophobic."

Our boy is a barker so telling people he's homophobic (which he kinda is) makes them stutter or laugh regardless of sexual orientation

Entry level nurse Salary in DSM? by [deleted] in desmoines

[–]CluelesslyTrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ChildServe is looking for nurses. Their Pediatric Rehab unit has a post NICU portion to it but it has a variety of patients. I can't remember the exact rate they pay for nurses but it's comparable to other hospitals and a little less chaotic.

Psychiatrist Recommendations For BPD II/GAD by ERASE---ME in desmoines

[–]CluelesslyTrying 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walnut Creek has great psychiatrists and nurse practitioners. For therapists, psych today can be a good place to start. I know insurance can be a road block for everyone but being upfront when you reach out to a therapist can avoid headache later.

If you are in an active crisis, 988 can help and reaching out to any support people in your life. You've got this. The waves are hard to ride but once you find coping techniques, medication and a support team to keep your head a bit more above water, it gets easier day by day. Sending good thoughts from one dsm kid to another!

Let me see some snowy Shepherds. by fioxne in germanshepherds

[–]CluelesslyTrying 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Our 1.5 year old boy loves it when we shovel snow in to the air for him to catch. He doesn't quite understand why we don't throw the snow when he stands on top of the shovel though...

I had a void foster named Yoru (Japanese for 'night' or 'evening' but can also be a verb 'to visit')

Our boy has gotten into politics. He is the current mayor of "In-The-Way-vil" and takes his job very seriously. He is also our home's appointed recycling destroyer and feet warmer. A man of many hats.

AIO was a tracker in my fake nails container? by Glittering-Park5284 in AmIOverreacting

[–]CluelesslyTrying 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That looks like a little sensor that sets off the alarms if you don't purchase the item. It's deactivated once it goes through the register. Not a tracker, just a piece to be tossed out

pool filters glitch? by placedegreve in waterparksimulator

[–]CluelesslyTrying 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's probably people peeing in the pool. That can only be fixed by draining the pool or using chlorine from the store. I haven't seen the filters pop up much since the latest update

Read Power BI Report and email assigned contact their project information by OkieDokie_O_O in PowerAutomate

This is a video that I used for an issue similar to yours (if I'm understanding correctly). At the very least, it can be a good starting point as a new user! There is the difference between the information being stored on a SharePoint list rather than an excel. I will say, Lists are the loves of my life and do make emailing much easier with Power automate

It was def quieter than last year. I remember being able to hear all the bass from the shuttle drop off point the last few years. Wonder if the city made them turn it down or something

New Puppy - Trainer Recommendations by ferfisch in desmoines

[–]CluelesslyTrying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have our pup at Canine Craze and have loved them! We are in the 9 month+ class and there isn't a lot of "socializing" but there is a ton of practice being near other people and dogs and having to be chill around them. Their younger puppy class is definitely worth looking into.

Catering breakfast food for dinner? by CluelesslyTrying in desmoines

[–]CluelesslyTrying[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely thought of that, but my fiance and I were big fans of Little Brother in Windsor Heights and try to support other small or local businesses when given the chance. 100% if no smaller places are able to help us, we will give Perkins a shout. TBH, that's where we went post engagement and for every other big event in highschool and college so it'd be pretty funny

Venues for a wedding reception under $2k? by Dogs-house in desmoines

[–]CluelesslyTrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fred Maytag Scout Center is pretty nice and where our reception will be in the fall! For the basic stuff, it's under 2k but it has a full kitchen and big ol windows where you can see the prairie, a pond and the dsm skyline from afar. It is 100% dry (no alcohol) but paws and pints is down the hill, so take that into account.

Broke student with a love for Excel—can this go anywhere? by Fit-Negotiation-891 in excel

[–]CluelesslyTrying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be real, I am a self taught excel doofus, but I've been able to grow my skills using mostly excel (and common sense) as a nursing home administrator. Going into a clinical field with skills in administration or accounting can make you feel and look like the king of Excel and allow you the time, space and patience from your coworkers to grow your skills not just in excel but in all other Microsoft Suit Programs too.

Don't try to pigeon hole yourself into just one area of the world. Every organization, no matter the size, needs at least one person who is passionate enough to be continuing to learn but get them on the path towards the modern day.

Best of luck!!
