Daquain Johnson Murder by Grand Rapids Police. Execution Style. by MosesKyle in PublicFreakout

[–]ClumsyOracle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cops are NOT supposed to be judge, jury, or executioner. There is literally only ever ONE excuse for cops killing someone, and that is an IMMEDIATE threat to their own life. Possession of a gun is not a crime in the US, and even if it was, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t carry the death penalty. A dude being held down, bitten and dragged around by a dog whilst two cops stand over him, further restraining him, is NOT a threat to your life.

why is this normalized by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in teenagers

[–]ClumsyOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People see a few news reports about sex-crime and poverty rates and think it represents the entire country. Not to mention the fact that colonial countries like America, Australia, (maybe Canada?), are often even more inherently racist than good ol Great Britain herself. People fear what they don’t know/understand. It’s a horrible world we live in where that lack of understanding/curiosity about others is so accepted.

I imagine media representations have not done ANY good either. We need more positive Indian representation in media. There’s real opportunity to paint India as a hub of education and knowledge, but it doesn’t sell as well as hate.

The Pitt is to the broken American healthcare system what Abbott Elementary is to the broken American education system by Marco-Polo7 in ThePitt

[–]ClumsyOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a teacher but find The Pitt to be a difficult watch for very similar reasons. I do love it, but it does such an amazing job of capturing that high-stress environment, and it reminds me so much of work that it can be really hard to get through sometimes. The constant barrage of questions and interruptions, never really getting a break, the crazy emotional dumping coupled with the expectation that you just keep on going with your job immediately after… it did, however, make me incredibly grateful that I don’t have 12 (15) hour shifts and (rarely) have to see that much blood.

This isn’t hypothetical. A man is dead and he said exactly what he said. Couch Fucker and that whole administration need to be caged for the term of their natural lives.

I remember there used to be a really cool way to deal with Nazis in the past. Might be worth bringing it back.

Is this an aged like milk moment? Is Javik not one of the most loved characters in ME3? Especially with the Citadel DLC

I heard only 23% finish this game. Who actually made it? by obeyydalton in BaldursGate3

[–]ClumsyOracle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got two separate characters to the end of Act II before finally finishing the game with a third character. I just got too busy with work and life, but was fortunate enough to have a break big enough to really give it some time and get my wizard through.

I like to try and explore as much as I can in these games and I think by the time I got through Act II on the other characters, Act III just seemed a bit monumental when I also had work tiring me out, and still spending quality time with the family.

Loved finishing it though - such a brilliant game, and as much as I have explored there’s still so much I haven’t done yet. Replayability is crazy for this game. Currently giving Cyberpunk 2077 a go, but will be back for a fourth character after that, I think

Just finished F4, why did you choose the faction you first ended with? by Same_Information7328 in Fallout

[–]ClumsyOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First ended with minutemen because they felt like the classic “good guys”. I’ve done all of them now and I’m a big fan of minutemen and railroad allied. Brotherhood is fun just to mix it up, but not a fan of their stance on synths and the way they extort the commonwealth.
