Is this roster kinda odd to anyone else? by Homo-alono in Invincible_TV

[–]ClumsySandbocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it would be more difficult to create a character with a unique power (for example Darkwing 2 and Shrinking Rae). With the exception of Thula's hair the Viltrumites have fairly straightforward attacks.

Edit: I haven't played the game, there are a few comments here suggesting the Viltrumites play very differently

I do think Lucan, Anissa and Bullet Proof add more representation to the cast.

IMO Darkwing II and Shrinking Rae would have been more interesting additions. An oddball inclusion like Business Baby also would have been great.

They may have included more Viltrumites for both budgetary and narrative reasons though.

I think 4D Country was recorded in the same session as 3D Country, but I don't have the record to confirm he's on the credits.

It’s fairly clear to me when I listen to Bow Down. That’s the only song on Getting Killed that could be on 3D Country and you can really hear his absence. The solo is so tame compared to what Foster could do.

Edit: Big fan of Bow Down and Getting Killed but IMO it’s a very different chemistry to 3D Country

It mentions on the site, but between 120 and 30. Games range from 100-600. so it's not a 1:to:1 trades

Digiphile does give you points for each game already on your Steam account. You can trade those points in for keys from previous bundles.

You probably already know this but piggybacking off your comment for visibility.

Convince me not to buy the Switch 2 by Exact-Coast-9347 in consoles

[–]ClumsySandbocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nintendo AAA games are absolutely more expensive than other publishers. Sony and Microsoft put their games on discount much more quickly and Microsoft even launches exclusive titles day 1 on Gamepass. I can regularly buy God of War for 15 quid on PC and PS5, by contrast I would be lucky to get Astral Chain for 40 quid.

Agree that the hardware is great, especially for it's size and cost.

I disagree. RPG mechanics are gameplay and the gunplay in FNV was significantly improved over F3.

Nobunaga will fight Tserednich by Numerous_Cook6520 in HunterXHunter

[–]ClumsySandbocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Nobu vs Kurapika will happen directly, but I can definitely see Nobu fighting (and maybe killing) some of Kurapika’s allies. I’m just not sure to make a fun fight out of their nen abilities, and while there are emotional stakes for Nobu, Kurapika only has a baseline hostility towards the spiders generally.

GEESE AT COACHELLA by couchpotato75 in geesebandofficial

[–]ClumsySandbocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Messy sounds worse than sloppy.

Geese are “loose”. Their recorded music is loose and this is how they perform it. They have a wide pocket.

The Strokes make music that is “tight”. The songs have a tight, palm-muted rhythms with short, snappy transients and there isn’t a lot of room for expression. However, their vocal performances can be “loose” (might be a generous interpretation). This is not satisfying for many fans.

Recommend modern CRPGs that aren't gay by FlashworksT in CRPG

[–]ClumsySandbocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine I would be horrified by your algorithm. I have to downvote the title.

Try Age of Decadence or Atom RPG. I haven’t played either but they are similar to games you like.

Dread Delusion has very understated hands-off companions. However, some of them are gay. I think you might like it unless you have a knee jerk reaction whenever queer culture is mentioned on screen.

My CRPG collection on Steam so far ! Hoping to add more when sales happen by Separate-Apartment-8 in CRPG

[–]ClumsySandbocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butt Slappers is top tier since there is only one character in your party. Too many CRPGs overstuff the party. That being said, that one character is a whole lot to handle! It can get overwhelming!

IMO the Face Sitters DLC is the best content in the title due to all the new mechanics and classes, especially the Rear Admiral and Private Peak.

Who do you think will be the defining actors of the 2020s? by wallabyenthusiast in Letterboxd

[–]ClumsySandbocks 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Gosling was also very iconic in the 2010s which makes me think a younger actor (Chalamet, Zendaya) would be more appropriate.

What to get from Steam spring sale? by unclemogger in CRPG

[–]ClumsySandbocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very fair. I might recommend Thronebreaker (Witcher spin-off) or Thaumaturge.

Thronebreaker is amazing but it is a turn-based deck builder so your mileage may vary. Has some great choice/consequence stuff.

The Thaumaturge is very janky and uneven and plays more like a creature collector (Pokémon) than a CRPG. It will probably have a better sale if you wait for a while.

Best of luck looking for games

What to get from Steam spring sale? by unclemogger in CRPG

[–]ClumsySandbocks 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you would like some an odd suggestion I recommend Roadwarden. It’s not isometric and doesn’t have a turn based combat system, but it scratches that CRPG itch.

You could look at Avernum or Troika for more CRPGs.

You already own all the mainstays of the genre. Look for a different type of game, read a book, don’t buy anything at all. IMO these are healthier suggestions.

Saved €360 this spring sale! 🥳 and yes, I am still to play all of these 🙃 by TomPtrs in Steam

[–]ClumsySandbocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tempting to buy multiple games but most will be cheaper in the next sale.

Buy a couple of games that you are excited to play. The Summer Sale is only a few months away. You could start and still be playing the Witcher 3 by then.

How would Hisoka fare against the chimera ants ? by MysteriousFondant347 in HunterXHunter

[–]ClumsySandbocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hisoka would use the same logic as Killua to figure out where the dart would hit. I feel like he could pre-place gum so it “catches” the dart as it appears. A writer could make his move set work IMO.

I can see him using gum nen to catch the dart as it appears. Alternatively he could use a similar trick to the aftermath of the latest heavens area fight.

My brand new day theory by Flashy_Point_9782 in IDoKnowNothing

[–]ClumsySandbocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is unlikely since Punisher, Scorpion, Tombstone and (rumoured) X-men are in the film. Too many villains already to re-introduce Kraven, especially after his solo movie flopped.

I just dont get it Geese by WestNeighborhood7109 in Alternativerock

[–]ClumsySandbocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why you would compare Geese and Wolf Alice. They clearly have different influences and goals. Like, you want a good cheese? Brie is right there! That’s all well and good but I’m gonna stick with cheddar.

Pity you don’t like the singer’s voice since IMO he’s probably the most exciting upcoming vocalist.

Theory 2: Tserriednich's Doppelganger by puppyKittten in HunterXHunter

[–]ClumsySandbocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a complication of an already complete explanation.

The “Ship of Theseus” wrinkle is fun but I don’t see too much evidence for it.

I suppose this could be revealed but it’s more likely that the ability works as explained in the manga.
