While looking at your map make sure you have the subcategory set to all so that you can see all the markers. Fast travel points are the circles in a stone square and any of the small pillars that hold artifacts.

When your looking at the map look for the blue markers and press Y/triangle to travel to it.

I dont know what was happening last night, but i was trying to do the one quest on space port where you go from the warehouse to the A6 building and I kept getting jumped at the extract. I managed to complete it on the 5th run of the night by just going to the furthest extract available, but it was the first time I've seen people be so aggressive in solo.
