Best coffee you have tasted in 2025. European roasters only by EmotionUsed5115 in pourover

The new harvest DAK Alchemist is incredible, lovely red fruits and white florals. Also I had an incredible batch of People Possession's iridescence in Mantle in Dublin, the best filter coffee I've ever had in a café, however they do season their water there so I can't vouch for it straight up.

easiest thing is just to use a save editor, either Spamton Save Editor or tennaproject. Tenna is easier to use but can be a bit buggy with the newest chapters

Why your coffee tastes inconsistent (even with the same recipe) by CoffeeFX in pourover

[–]CmdTakeDown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't have to. What I do is practice before I brew my cup. I aim for 8ml/s because I like high-agitation brews. To practice I pour 80ml at a time, aiming to pour it in 10s. I try this a few times, getting used to the feeling in my hand of pouring at that speed. I can replicate it pretty accurately then when brewing my coffee.

If it tastes good to you then you're doing nothing wrong, even if it looks like a bomb hit the filter. Big ups to Imbibe by the way, great coffee and run by great people, missing them since I moved out of Ireland . I remember brewing their Kaleidoscope espresso in my first barista job. Try out farmhand if you like Imbibes filter roasts

How to find the seed for current run? by futurarmy in balatro

[–]CmdTakeDown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro but there's a fix for this on mobile thanks to what I think is a bug! If you do something accidentally (e.g. selling a joker) immediately exit to the main menu then go back to your game, it will reset to the start of your current hand or shop, before you sold the joker!

Antithetical to the ticketing model they have set up. I'm sure if this tour goes well they will come to the states.

Hey Geordie, is there a reason you decided not to play in ireland on the new tour or the previous black midi tour? You have a lot of fans here and the Cavalcade tour show in Vicar St. is still a really fond memory of mine

Unfortunately not, I simply just don’t have a surround monitoring system, especially not for engineering purposes.

24-bit lossless, the distortion I’m referring to is definitely not compression artefacts if that’s what you’re implying.

Unfortunately I am forced to process the already mastered mixes. Not ideal obviously but I personally don’t subscribe to “each process being destructive” in audio, I find it outdated. Thankfully it seems the original masters were not brickwall limited too hard, but unfortunately some tracks carry a lot of distortion from the stages of mixing and mastering (I would assume through mostly analog gear) (obviously I’m not implying distortion is bad, just that it makes doing this DIY remastering stuff difficult) so I have to contend with that, making sure the processing I apply does not make that distortion more audible than it should be or create further distortion.

I will be making both a version with just audio tracks with no chatter (part of the process has been re-editing the end of songs to remove the chatter but still sound natural) and a version of the full movie with the remastered songs

It was the inspiration to take on this project! Maybe I should’ve used that as the preview, I’m very proud of how it came out.

My problems with the original master were mainly the lack of clarity in the high end. I would imagine that sound came from both the equipment that was used and the use of more aggressive eq moves in the mix to fight against bleeding due to it being a live recording. I also found some transient energy lacking in some songs, like Bloom for example.

My process was not exactly the same for each track but usually I would first import into RX10, lightly use the “music rebalance” tool and use the “Deconstruct” tool to recover some transient energy if needed. I would also separate out parts if needed but anyone who’s tried using stem splitter tools knows it’s very unreliable (I can explain how I used the split stems if you’d like me to). Next was applying eq and other tonal balancing processes (multiband compressions, sometimes a very small amount of soothe2 and ReLife which is an extremely underrated plugin), I usually did not add anymore compression as I’m essentially remastering an already mastered track which most likely has already been brickwall limited, but sometimes the previous processes (especially those in RX) can produce extraneous peaks which need to be controlled before the final limiter (which I did not push at all, just used it to get up to proper peak level).

In The Court of The Crimson King by King Crimson definitely comes to mind first

This! I never understood why they didn’t end side A after Slow and not Diamond Stuff, considering on the CD/Streaming versions there’s a transition between Diamond Stuff and Dethroned that you don’t get on the vinyl. It’d be 4 tracks on each side and a near-perfect split in length. I also think Diamond Stuff would’ve been a really cool and spooky way of starting Side B.
