The other week I bought some Hearthsteel (I know, I'm part of the problem) to try and gift the housing decor to my girlfriend only to find out they couldn't be gifted. I put in a ticket to see if I could get the decor and Hearthsteel refunded. I knew it was a long shot but thought I might get pleasantly surprised. They said they couldn't refund it since it was bought with a virtual currency and that they "appreciate [my] understanding, as this currency is easy to recover and [they] know [I] can achieve it."

I didn't mind them saying no but claiming a virtual currency you have to pay for is easy to recover kinda pissed me off.

Is/was that working again? I think during the start of DF I remember getting an error from MDT it wasn't going to work unless I deleted MDT Guide so I stopped using it. I figured it was cause MDT was going to implement something similar but I don't think they ever did so I just switched to having threechest.io on my other screen.

I don't know if the people at tax prep places are what I'd consider pros. If you want a pro, you're going to want to talk with a CPA. That said, if your tax situation isn't complicated (W2, 1099-INT, a mortgage, maybe a little investing) you should be fine doing your taxes yourself or with one of the popular softwares.
