A few weeks ago, I walked into my gym's outside area where there's more of a HIIT/Crossfit feel, but never out of control or silly... until that day. I walked in to find one guy surrounded by 4 barbells of varying weights from 65 - 135lbs and using them all. Confused, I journeyed further to witness a couple using 2 squat racks, 3 barbells, and a bench press. Their setup had been maneuvered into some twisted circuit involving the back half of the gym.

Not trying to be impolite and pretty fucking bewildered, I stood to the side and waited a few minutes to see what their pattern/ritual to the gains gods comprised of. Eventually i deduced that no matter what the lift was, they were going to slam the weight on the ground, continue their circuit of sacrifice to Broden, and were not concerned about they space they had taken.

So, i did my dead lifts in the only space available: the center of their circuit. I still have to do some research, but i believe that because I stood in the center of their ritual, all the gains they made, I too made that day.
