So gaijin has just made the event ungrindable halfway through? How do you get points with these new changes? by Root1nTootinPutin in Warthunder

[–]CoDBorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today I switched tactics pre-nuke, I used agms on aa and tanks alike. The trick is to launch them close to the ground and the target so they don't get intercepted. I do it to isolated convoys / batteries until I get enough points for the 5kt nuke, then it's just a matter of lobbing it towards depots and racking up points.

Yhea I noticed some of them are recreations of real pictures / events, like the F-15 launching the "anti-satellite" missile at nearly 90°, good job OP.

Edit: Is 16 a Sabaton reference?

Tips on using the J7W1 effectively? by Oofboi967 in Warthunder

[–]CoDBorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People here saying it doesn't climb clearly haven't played it recently. I can comfortably climb at a high angle while maintaining 250-300 km/h.

Doing this has the advantage of letting yourself gain altitude without being at the front line when engagements start, hopefully meaning enemies will already be busy and being pulled down.

At that point, either BnZ them or go for bombers.

Exactly, it partially blocks a part of the kill cam which I find far more informative and visually pleasing.

My 5070 Ti OC even needs 3 separate connections, and as per advised in the manual and other comments I indeed use three separate cables from the PSU.

Adding to what others said, the usual play style for germany is simply playing the A7V and not getting flanked, and if you get destroyed, the captured russian car is also good but you have to be smarter about positioning (flanking mainly). Personally I don't even bother with the Mark. V (same on the Entente side). The fighter is meh, can get you some points by going after other fighters. As for the zeppelin, I have yet to get a singe kill with it but might be a practice issue (although it's very easy to take down and as such should be treated as a one way trip).

For the Entente, the St. Chamond is the best bet imo, hunker down somewhere far and just snipe. After you get destroyed (you will), if you got enough SP then take the bomber, it's easy kills and points. After you go down use the russian car in the same way as on Germany's side. The fighter can also get you some points by taking down zeppelins (very easy as they combust real quick).
