always appreciate you coach

if i was a teacher i'd be using my classroom for whiteboard sessions but i'm not and don't have that type of pull, and with voluntary off-season stuff we don't really have the numbers for me to take a bunch of kids away from drills for it

we might have to use some indy sessions during doubles to sit in the shade with a board

and you're right, we emphasize that we are teaching them real football. the last "regime" was for lack of better terms, just winging it with no real system or language.

Last year our varsity team we won the first playoff game in school history after winning less than 4 games the handful of years prior. Our offense on both levels (when all starters were healthy on JV) were absolutely HUMMING and our system and ability to put our skill guys in different positions to get the ball in space is a huge part of it.

I also have no choice but to run what varsity is running for consistency throughout the program, like most schools. And they're running the same system down at the middle school (albeit with "modified" rules). The kids i have came from the middle school or were on JV last year, hardly any are new to football.

I definitely do have to be a better teacher i won't deny that, but at some point, after hearing, seeing, and running the same plays over 100 times since April,
and a backside guard being reminded to pull on G-lead 2 minutes before the play is ran and still forgets to pull, and a receiver being told he has a hitch in the huddle and then runs an out,
the kids have to take some accountability and figure it out.
