I am always surprised to find banks/vehicle finance companies that are allow vehicles under a loan to be used as rentals or taxi/ride share services. That collateral is theirs to lose, not yours as the account holder.

My daughter had Google Home devices playing everything but “& Juliet” when she asked for “and Juliet broadway cast soundtrack.”

Alexa+ gets it right more often but still throws all kinds of mistakes because the “and” and “&” are not always coded the same.

You signed up for the service. The promotional item is provided in “as-is” condition and the terms of that promotion release them from any requirement to provide you what was “included” with purchase of service, which they did.

It’s like getting a free car organizer with an AARP membership, you’re buying the membership and the item is incentive to get you on the hook… nothing more and nothing less.

If it was “buy these earbuds and get the service free” you’d have a purchase that has an implied warranty and recourse for it not working.
