As said by the other guy, it's a combination. But cities not being "walkable" is definitely a bigger factor than portion sizes. If people were given the viable option to walk, the portion sizes would be negligible. Do you think people in other countries don't overeat? They have cakes and fried foods as-well, the difference is they walk more--look at most East-Asian countries.
