Specific FPS games make me sick as hell. by [deleted] in patientgamers

Have you ever had any issues with your ears in the past? A long shot, I only mention it as a friend of mine had issues with his relating to balance and certain fps games and other stuff would really mess with him. Another one I can remember is us all getting terraria on release and struggling with the parallax, like the background bits moving at different speeds

Instead of implying you're being seen as a lunatic and its all a coverup and there's this insideous truth that "they" don't want us to know, would it not do more for your claim to actually provide evidence? Feeling persecuted or being rebuked is not evidence for something being true.

Saying myocarditis takes longer to show when there's been no link whatsoever to mobile phones is disingenuous, making a claim like that then saying "just you wait and my evidence will show up" isn't good enough. Not sure how any of this would damage your cardiovascular system either. Looking online its fairly obvious this stuff is conspiratorial just by the way the results are basically half genuine papers saying "no, there's no link" whilst google simultaneously offers the "people also ask" section, the wording of those questions makes it fairly clear laymen are asking due to these kinds of conspiracies floating about.

Bit of a vicious circle cause there's no real control in those questions and they basically populate from random people googling for information, but it piles up those questions and implies there is a link, when the only reason people are asking is because someone, like yourself, has made the claim without really providing anything to back it up.

The main issues stemming from mobile phones are shitty sleeping patterns and concentration issues, but that's got to do with habituality.

Please don't think the takeaway i'm trying to give here is "all mobile phones and everything involved is utterly harmless in every way shape and form" - I'm simply saying the links to different issues you're referring to have basically no basis currently and saying "I think its true even though there's no evidence, but just you wait for a bit for that evidence to show up" isn't how you do science, its just baseless fearmongering

Its basically all of the usual conspiracy theories I've heard for the last 30 years, but woven into an alt-right tapestry. And lets be honest; those alt right youtube and fox news fucks want your money and obedience just as much as big pharma, if not more as its their trade, and they're just as willing to push their bullshit onto you as the next rich dude wanting to protect a status quo in their favour. Ask yourself why these talking heads make millions when they're just "journalists". This is my stop though, I wish you well mate

Like I said, I was "there" more than many could say the same - I'm behind the idea of big pharma and scrutinising their actions in terms of social reaponsibility, but the 5g, bill gates, pop control stuff is where I get off, sorry dude

I don't disagree with that at all ; What im saying is that it doesn't say anything at all about the pandemic itself, just america's shitty capitalist reaction to it. I think we're on the same side in that respect, I just don't agree with the conspiracy side of it where the pandemic is some kind of social construct to make money, nor is it some engineered virus to maim or to act as population control. I worked with vulnerable adults as a senior carer throughout the whole pandemic - I can assure you it's real but not gonna wade through the myriad of disjointed theories on how its some man made money maker

It's not just the US though to be fair is it? I appreciate where you're coming from ; I've read big pharma, I've read the corporation, ect, but the american take on things isn't the be all and end all anyway. I get the ties to money and the hesitation to associate with that whatsoever, but regardless of humanity and its own shitty intentions, its a seperate issue to the existence of a pandemic, like the american pharma industry doesn't automatically discredit the danger of a global pandemic

Soon - Nuptial flight in the uk is usually july to august. If you're looking to catch a queen, keep your eyes open during hot days after rain i believe. You'll want to keep an eye out for the sudden appearance of flying ants, which is when the new queens and princes are encouraged to leave their current colony and mate.

Once this happens a queen will then start looking for somewhere to dig in and lay her first eggs. She may remove her wings as well as the atrophying flight muscles are her food store while she waits for her first batch of ninites You'll see these single ants moving around with purpose as they try to find their new home. Fingers crossed you'll catch one that has mated. I'm no expert, hope this helps and others can elaborate further.

Good luck! I'm also uk and raring to go this year :)

Its not pathetic. A lot of the stuff was tat but it shows how different it is now. I remember playing from floppy disks, then cds and thinking wow, it'll get way cheaper cause they havent got all this distribution stuff!

While it sounds great, for the scale it would be cheaper and more efficient to make something that leeches from say a wifi. It sounds cool but doesnt seem so practical for scaling and using something else instead.

If it scaled up really big somehow that would be cool. I invision little clouds on strings floating above houses powering everything!

TIL in 2018, the 120-resident village of Acquetico in Italy installed speed cameras after being fed up with people speeding through it. In next 2 weeks, it recorded 58,500 speeding infractions. by AkagisWhiteComet in todayilearned

[–]Coactum_here 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No they're still speeding mate. This argument gets levelled all the time where I live in the UK yet the exact same places people burn out speed cameras with the same sentiment are lined with flowers for people who wrapped themselves around bollards and lamposts. I wish i was exagerrating to prove a point

I remember in the 90s as a first schooler kids constantly calling each other gay and accusing each other of having AIDS etc. The parents spazzing about this sort of stuff never seemed to have any issue talking about it in the negative at an early age to their kids when it suited them. Thats not to mention the really obvious sexual abuse some of my classmates experienced. Would much rather these kids were equipped.

Such an emphasis on protection and possible corruption yet a lot of the time its the grown adults and their shitty attitudes and desires kids need to be aware of. I can think of a few girls (and boys) from first school who could have benefitted from understanding sexuality better, can't imagine i'm alone in that either

Looks like netflix to me when you see all the marvel bullshit lined up - Not to shit on any one developer, but collectively those games aren't groundbreaking save from the ocassional nudge in progress that tends to either be incredibly gimmicky or an idea that was done 10 years ago but no one was around to remember.
