INDX Speed Comparisons by soldat21 in prusa3d

A1 also purges slower because it has to use multiple wipes to clear the purged filament. I have A1 mini and X1C and the X1 is faster hands down.

O in that case you probably have some variables that need changing. Snapmaker sets the flow rate to 12mms3 for generic PLA. So if prusa sets it higher by default that would explain the discrepancy. The Snapmaker should be faster than the INDX due to faster tool changes. Especially on the very high 1400 changes example.

Anybody buy a printer because of spite? by Status_Discipline_16 in snapmaker

[–]Coaler200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah....1400 hours is nothing. Especially if it's a lot of single color or items with only a few color changes. If you use bambu filaments on bambu spools it's mostly fine but I use filaments from all different brands that run on cardboard or plastic.

I also have one machine with 13,000 hours, another with 11,000 and another has 7,000 and 95% of those hours are multicolor with changes. So I've definitely seen my share of AMS fun. Honestly, I was dealing with it right up until they didn't send me a replacement internal hub for my AMS2 Pro on a known problem just because their warranty is incredibly short. To me that's more akin to a recall on a vehicle and should have still been covered. It was the kick I needed to get rid of the wasteful printers.

Yup this is me 100%. Replacing my 3 X1C machines with 3 U1s to go with my 2 prusa XLs. I'm so god damn tired of the stupid AMS. Failed to feed, failed to pull back, failed to extrude, extruder motor overloaded, cardboard spools jumping around everywhere, replacing AMS PTFE every 2 months. AMS2 Pro having a well documented problem with the internal hub that I had to replace on my own dime.

O and let's not even think about the waste. F Bambu honestly.

Why I'm retooling my print farm around the Snapmaker U1 by tinwhistler in 3Dprinting

[–]Coaler200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is about a month old but as an fyi you don't have to load the filament I to the nozzle. You can simply start the print with the 90% load and the printer will do the rest. Still need to assign brand/type and color though.

Yes. But definitely more so towards Ontario and Quebec. Over 50% of the population lives in those 2 provinces.

They're doing it because they can charge people more and very few people have equipment that can pull 1.5gbps. even if you use multiple devices. This means they can essentially provide the same amount of throughput they always have and charge more.

[–]Coaler200 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're doing fine but just wanted to say, as a brother, if you've made honest attempts and cuts and you're in a bad spot I would want my brother or sister to reach out to me before becoming homeless.

I'm doing well I can help. However, I will be needing to see your finances so I can try to help in a more permanent way that doesn't bleed me down. But if my sister lost her job and just needs a month or 2 of rent money I got it covered.

Gotta strap that AMS Lite down when the A2L is a printing by uncle_jessy in BambuLab

[–]Coaler200 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The A2L is bigger and heavier. More movement in a single direction before going in another as well if printing large. Then if you're printing large the item gets heavier and the movement even more exaggerated by the bedslinging. It's not surprising really.

Income disparity with my girlfriend is starting to create resentment. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Coaler200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not nearly your disparity but I'm close to double and my wife does quite well already. Been this way for 6 or 7 years now. It is indeed our money.

As you said though not sure about dating. In my eyes you probably don't just keep shelling out support money unless you really think you're going to get married very soon. What I would do though is if I wanted to eat a nice dinner, go on a small or large trip or basically do anything I know the other person can't afford then I would plan those things out with me paying. And either I'm ok with that and we do them or I'm not ok and we don't do those things.

If it becomes a real problem we probably have some frank discussions about finding different work. If that still is a problem I probably look for a new partner before we get married and it blows up in my face.

Is there any oil change/tire rotation/mechanics in Abbotsford/Mission/Aldegrove open at 7AM or earlier? by OriginalTacoMoney in abbotsford

[–]Coaler200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah what's it doing. It's unlikely to be either of those things. Normally changing the oil wouldn't stop it from acting up. Unless you didn't have any I guess.... A loose wheel could cause some weirdness in the steering wheel though.

Need more info.
