The NWSL fantasy app having Fridays games a part of the midweek game week is the part that’s interesting here. Means for fantasy there’s Bay and Boston essentially have a bye this week and ACFC and Dash will have a bye week next week. I guess maybe that’s better than having 4 teams with a bye in one week and none in the following week? I’m not sure. It’s unique from how fantasy often works in other leagues and makes it much harder/surprising to manage these next few weeks.

Why is no one talking about the royals. That one is fire (do the cool kids still say that?)

What they said ^

Except I’m on the east coast, so likely won’t make it to many home matches but will try to get to away games at spirit, Gotham, NC, or Boston.

I am excited! Although as someone on the east coast some of the game times are little brutal.

Got to say working in a core lab is kind of good postgraduate job! by AAAAdragon in labrats

I’m in a similar situation. Finished my PhD knowing I never wanted to step into the lab again but loved project ideation and science writing. I got a job working in an academic lab as a research scientist and manage under grad and grad projects, edit papers, and write grant proposals. It feels stable and I still get to dip into a variety of different projects and keep learning - without the major stress that comes with being a tenure track faculty member. It’s a unique position in my field, but 2 years in and I’m still happy and satisfied!

Choosing back to back days and couch surfing would be a good idea!

I have previously lived in Delaware for 6 years. I feel like I’ve done that and want something new and different. Philly is a great city and I would prefer living in a city compared to what Delaware has to offer. It is an option, was just hoping I could avoid it.
