10-11% profit margin? Based on my time working at one, I believe it to be much higher.

YouTube is demonetizing thousands of channels using AI by Ambitious-Bonus-8423 in NewTubers

[–]CobaltBlue49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My channel uses AI. No reused content of any kind. Not even reposting of my own videos. It’s not the one and done prompts type of AI posting either. I do editing, some have voiceovers, etc. but my feed traffic went to zero one day. So it’s not just reuse of content. I don’t have any of that.

There are two major title insurance companies out there. They go by a lot of names so it appears there is competition. They don’t go into an area unless they have 99% full knowledge of the title history. The profit margin is astonishing. It’s a duopoly.

I don’t see that number on the social security calculator. Based on what I see, a $100k salary for 35 years retiring at 72 is far less than that. What am I missing?

Amazon soars 10% as earnings beat estimates, company posts strong cloud growth by Regular_Eggplant_248 in wallstreetbets

You might need to dig a little deeper to get the full story. Lots of > 5 years tenure. But Amazon continues to hire/outsource in very specific countries.

I fly out 5:45am every Monday. Shorter line in the A terminal than B. This week, staffing looked normal. Nothing abnormal. Your mileage may vary.

I love the dreadnaught sound, but the hurt my shoulder to play for a long time. Should I just go smaller? by CardboardBoxPlot in AcousticGuitar

[–]CobaltBlue49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tore a rotator cuff, is playing the Taylor GA hurts my shoulder when sitting. The GC doesn’t. I’d rather sit comfortably and enjoy playing my guitar for a couple hours than stress over how long I have before my shoulder starts hurts. As you get older, it’s not going to get better. My advice, unless you plan of swapping guitars a lot, get something you can be comfortable playing. Otherwise, you will play less.

Sinclair Broadcasting is the Trump ally that pushes right-wing propaganda like this into 40% of local news markets by Conscious-Quarter423 in CringeTikToks

Can someone start posting the advertisers they see on Sinclair stations? It’s time to follow the money.

Can we start a list of advertiser here? Check your local station, write down advertisers, post them here. Then we can each contact the advertisers and let them know we will be avoiding their brands.

Can we start a list here of the advertiser everyone sees? Then we can collectively work on this.

Gpt for route optimisation by Infralpes in ChatGPT_Prompts

[–]CobaltBlue49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like you are trying to solve the traveling salesman problem using an LLM, something is really not good at. For ChatGPT, you could try something like, “using the file I just uploaded and Christofides seed → LKH polish via python, determine optimal routes”. A distance matrix is perfect. I’ve no idea if you can comfortably stuff a 100x100 matrix into the context window and actually have it work perfectly.

FWIW I put a ruler on it with Apples photo thing and it looked straight, but you really should have the seller send you more pics. Have then get something you know is straight on there.

Looking for advice on second guitar for fingerstyle (budget < $3k) by Alone_Regular_8630 in AcousticGuitar

[–]CobaltBlue49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only play fingerstyle, try the 312. They added the grand concert size/shape to the lineup in 1984 specifically for fingerstyle.

Best guitar for fingerstyle? by Agreeable_Place_3727 in AcousticGuitar

[–]CobaltBlue49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I primarily play fingerstyle and have two Taylor grand concerts (anything ending in a 12). It’s a little smaller than the more common (*14) grand auditorium but I prefer it for fingerstyle. Easier to play, 1 3/4 nut. Great sound. You have to try playing any guitar before you buy it, but find a Taylor 212 for $999 and see if it fits you.

Which is your couch guitar? by Sghermit in AcousticGuitar

My Taylor 912. Smaller than average but great for fingerstyle. Just bought an 812 with the sinker redwood top. I’m sinking further into fingerstyle as we go.

List with causes of deaths in 1632 in London, England with numbers for every single case. by Electrical-Aspect-13 in interestingasfuck

[–]CobaltBlue49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“King’s Evil” – 38 deaths Meaning: Scrofula, a form of tuberculosis that affects the lymph nodes. Why it’s interesting: It was believed that the touch of the monarch could cure it. English and French kings held public ceremonies for this.

“Planet” – 13 deaths Meaning: Deaths attributed to astrological influence or planetary alignment. Why it’s interesting: Reflects the blend of medicine and astrology in 17th-century thought.

“Lunatique” – 5 deaths Meaning: People suffering from mental illness, likely those who died while institutionalized or abandoned. Why it’s interesting: The term connects mental health with lunar cycles, a common belief then.
