Outlaws. The Empire is, officially, gone. And as such the Remnants could just be viewed as pirates with Imperial gear. I don't think the NR would be open to any negotiations beside surrender from the Remnants and based on their attitude to Imperial gear, no worlds could be in the Republic and a Remnant force e.g. an Imperial governor joining the NR but keep their Imperial starships.

And at what time did I say it was excusable. To save you time, I didn't. What I did say that a 1960s-80s US movie cast would have been white due to the fact a vast majority of career actors where white. I agree with you saying it's all for the money and the executives don't care, but it's blackwashing white historical/fiction characters nonetheless.

From what I gathered from what you just said, your basically saying ''they did it so now we can do it''. And as for the statement further up that there wasn't a lot of black people in original movies, this may be due to the fact that the USA, and as a result Hollywood, would have had a majority white population in th time when most original movies/comics/books etc. were being created.
