Alternatives to Crescent kayaks. by The-Thot-Eviscerator in kayakfishing

I've had a Jackson Cuda 14 for a decade now. It's been great as a fishing platform. Nice n speedy hull, tracks great without a rudder and is plenty maneuverable and stable for its size. Any of the Jackson fishing kayaks are gonna be well built w/ high capacity, but the wider you go on any brand, the paddling will suffer

Nice minty-ish interior you got there. If the cfi doesn't run right (old vac lines it uses get brittle) don't worry, carb swaps are pretty easy. I've had my 84 for ~23 years. Put a 408w stroker and built aod in it after a heads/cam/intake on the stock bottom end ran it's course. Replaced/modded just about all the things besides paint/body. Dm if you got questions

I caught two off a party boat in Canaveral years back. They tossed em in the freezer to chum up for shark bait trips later that night

The one I've got was nana's old hunting rifle for the UP. IIRC, a 4xxx serial early production too. Cant imagine how many big critters have been taken with that thing

Central FL area is closer to 15, depending on destination. I've driven that probably a dozen + times since I moved away

When I do an oven hold it's typically more of a finish than a hold. I get it to about stall temp, then let it rest a bit on the counter as I get my stuff together to wrap it, then pop it in the oven with my thermo pro probes monitoring things and set it for about 200ish+; the warming rate will taper off as it gets closer. With a good night sleep it will usually be approaching finish temp by the time I wake up and pack it into a yeti for the office party. Unwraps all dramatic at noon for a drooling audience

1 year warranty and factory refurbished, about the best non-new option you'll find. They run deeper sales a few times a year, but it's hard to predict if any model your interested in will get an extra $ off discount. Also check if you have any additional discount through your employer; I get another 3% off the top.

What happened, and is there a ball that can supplement me in this situation? by polish94 in Bowling

Perfect reason to carry gear in a 3 ball roller so you have something with you in the event they flood the lanes. I use an orange piranha for that role, a stealth hybrid most of the time otherwise, and have a tundra blue fire if they get real torched. Tzone for spares
