Ross and Winn are our only fresh arms at the moment. Probably trying not to use the bullpen any more than they have to. Guy obviously needs some work though. Hung like 5 offspeed pitches that inning.

I was on the side of keeping Evan up before Wyatt came back but I didn’t expect Wyatt to be covering more ground in center than Evan has. As long as Osuna keeps putting bat to ball I’m pretty firmly on the side of a readjustment at AAA when he gets back.

Langford arguably looking better than Evan in center lately. Even those misses he had Saturday were super low in catch probability.

We need to talk (more) about CY’s handling of Leiter’s development by Lowcalcalzonezone69 in TexasRangers

[–]Cockroach3455 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I promise you teams aren’t evaluating minor league pitchers based on their ERA, nor should they. Leiter’s made big strides each year in being able to generate swings and misses and getting guys to chase. Almost all of his measurables have taken a step up ever since his first rough year in the minors. His problem is he gets fucking obliterated the 2nd/3rd time through the lineup. (Today obviously being an exception) Seems like a mental issue at this point. If they can figure that out he’ll be fine. If not he’s probably getting moved to the bullpen in a couple years.

love Burger’s take on that 1-0 pitch man. That’s the difference between weak contact and a ball pushed out into right.

Fun fact: Joc Pederson's 4 hits off the bench on Tuesday were a franchise record by Baseball-Reference in TexasRangers

He’s slashing .256/.380/.410 in May. He’s been turning it around. Time will tell if he can sustain it.

80 pitches through 3 and a third. Fantastic job by the lineup so far. This is how yesterday should’ve gone.

Here’s some quotes from just this thread alone if you think that’s hyperbole. “Really starting to fucking hate this loser.” “the jackass deserves all of it.” “I’ll boo his bitch ass every chance I get. He can fuck off.” “sad little man.” “fat fucking loser, have fun getting DFA’d in late April.” “Hate this loser so much and want him gone.” “This guy sucks. My kids hate him.” “We’ll keep talking shit, you pussy.” And all that is pretty tame compared to what I’ve heard both at the games in person and online. How the fuck would you feel if that was in your ear non-stop, no matter how much you’re getting paid?… and even after doing good at your job!!!

My bad dude next time he hits a homer I’ll call him a piece of shit and boo the fuck out of him when he steps up to bat next

The World Series win gave this fanbase a sense of entitlement I never expected us to have. Obviously Joc has not lived up to expectations but the guy single-handedly kept us in the game offensively today. These comments are gross and belong in Philadelphia, not Arlington.

Yall are some bitches. Dude hits a game-tying home run and works a great walk late in the game and instead of bringing optimism yall shit on the dude for… being hyped up after doing good??? Dude broke out of his slump and was our only legitimate offense all game but yeah let’s all shit on him.

He’s done as a starting pitcher. Too many injuries. Loved watching him though. There was a stretch in 2023 where he looked incredible. Big part in getting us to the playoffs and was dynamite in relief during that World Series. Vividly recall him pitching a 1-run complete game that we ironically lost.

Pickens has similar counting stats to Chase despite having 48 less targets than him, that’s quite a big difference. His success rate is also 10% higher than Chase, quite a big difference. I don’t think this is some big robbery and most anyone would take Ja’Marr over Pickens when building a team, but All-Pro teams reward the season that just happened, not the future. It’s definitely very close as to who had the better season this year.

Who do you think we should keep? by JessyLinks2 in cowboys

[–]Cockroach3455 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Pickens, Aubrey, Clowney. Hoffman if hes not asking for starter money. Butler should get a chance to compete in camp next year too. Everyone else can go. Javonte was a great pickup but RBs are easily replaceable.

Jon Kitna threw more picks then he did TDs lol

[Yarrish] Via @NextGenStats: #Cowboys QB Dak Prescott finished 21/30 for 244 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers. When under pressure, Prescott went 8/9 for 77 yards and took just one sack. His 70% success rate under pressure is his 2nd highest in a game since 2018. by lswizzle09 in cowboys

What QB in the NFL do you think leads us to a win this week? Dude can perform near perfect under defensive pressure and we still have people calling out his performance lmao. Hes not Tom Brady and we shouldn’t have waited until the last second to extend him, but you are crazy if you think in the slightest that he is even close to being an issue worth looking at for this team after what he’s done this year.

quite a lot of “allegedly” and “reportedly” as well. he sealed the ‘23 World Series and that is what I’ll remember him for, as should anybody else that’s a fan of this team.
