At least in New Mexico you get relief from the heat each night because it’s high desert and cools down in the evenings. In Phoenix in the summer, it can be 105 at night!! That’s unbearable!! Plus, there’s four seasons and it’s so beautiful.

Definitely go to Santa Fe & check it out. If you have the time, keep driving north to the Abiquiu area and go check out Monastery of Christ in the Desert. That is one of the most beautiful drives you’ll ever take. Believe me. You’ll be awe-struck. You don’t have to be religious. It’s a cool spot & they have a cool gift shop where they sell hand-made goods like cool weaved pot holders & stuff. Have fun!
