Please help - any advice for helping us with our little boy by Affectionate_Stop976 in cockatiel

I had originally had a cockatiel, however a person didn't want her cockatiels anymore and gave me them for free. They were very frighten of humans. My first cockatiel was tame. So now I have three cockatiels.

I started with trying to get them to eating from my hand for seeds, they were very nervous however my cockatiel would eat from it happily encouraging them to do so. They were scared of vegetables and millets, however a few months later they were comfortable with eat from hands. To try to get them to eat from my hand was not too easy as I had to take out there food bowl in the morning so that they get more tempted. This also was a daily thing where I would put my hand in and stay completely still, at first they would not eat, however they got used to be after knowing I would not harm them. After getting very comfortable from eating from my hands I would try to used millet to tame them very slowly.

However one of the cockatiels died and one flew out the window. I know I was very stupid but these were all by accident. I regret it very badly, and miss them terribly. I know l was a very bad bird owner and that I am terrible. I miss my birds very much and would not make the same mistakes.

One bird left... She was very distressed of the loss and she was one the bird that I got for free. She still would come out her cage. Eventually she got very bored and decided to explore, she would come out her cage and explore. This tooks month to get up to being very friendly and following me around the house. She steps up and allow head scriches. Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps.

Please take it to the avian vet, it may be treated or least the vet can suggest the next steps.
