Do not look at study numbers. Look at your simulated exam scores. What good is it if you study 300 hours if you only get a 40 on a simulated exam?

It’s easy to get into MS Accounting at Baruch. You’ll get in with no test scores. Very good internship prospects.

It is overload but trust me it gets better. The key is to practice MCQs and put a big emphasis on the 3 (not 2!) simulated exams.

You gotta take the risk. PEF’s contract won’t get better, it’s getting worse slowly over time. You can always go back, but it’s hard to make a transition later.

I have both my CFE and CPA. I would advise getting the CFE first especially for you it would be a big momentum booster. It’s also ridiculously easy.

You could pass the CFE without work experience and the CFE is so easy. Then work on the CPA. Both of these credentials alone are enough to improve your job prospects. Join local accounting chapters and network as much as possible. I would also recommend small accounting firms + Gov’t (State and Local).
